Scrounging for cash and need a place to stay for a short while? The Down on your luck hostel comes with cheap rooms, free (if you use the simwardrobe hacked cook top) hot meals and all the mold you would expect from a classy 1 star establishment. If you find yourself staying longer there are larger rooms where you can squeeze in a crib and facilities for the little *carpet grubs. The air conditioning broke about the same time the train stopped running so that wasted air conditioner box was put to good use. Takes a good hike to get up there, but it's out of sight of the 'establishment' and keeps the neighbors happy.



Facilities
chess table, dart board, toilets, lifts and eatery on the ground floor
Lounge room, toilets, lifts on the first/middle floor
Bathrooms on the second or top floor
'bubbles' and hydroponic gardening on the roof top.
BBQ with seating.

The Rooms
These are all designed to be cheap; really, really cheap. There are 8 rooms. The smallest room has only just enough room for a bed, a bare bulb and a lovely ventilation shaft. The fact the door will stick open at least will give you some air to breath. The largest room has a chest of draws, a mirror and another bulb! All decorated in a fashion called 'let me outta here!'


There is a radio in the rubbish as well as some plumbing which can be used for those that like to shock the neighbours.


How comfortable it is and if the land lord is happy is another matter.

* For those who may not know, a carpet grub is Aussie slang for children.
