The Third Person Mod

• What does the mod do?

This mod allows you to step into the shoes of your Sims and see the world through their perspective, adding a whole new layer of immersion to your regular gameplay. With the press of a button (F1) you can seamlessly switch between normal mode and third person mode. While in third person, you can control your Sims using your keyboad to move them around the world by pressing the following keys:

W, A, S, D: Movement
Shift: Sprint
F1: Activate/Deactivate Third Person

The entire locomotion system was built from the ground up for third person. This means that the gameplay is as fluid and seamless as ever. Your Sims will automatically go through doors, climb stairs, swim in pools and even swim in the ocean, without ever taking the control away from you. You are able to control every Sim in the game. This includes Sims of all ages ranging from toddlers to elders, pets of all ages, and occult Sims like mummies, vampires, fairies, werewolves, mermaids, etc. They all have their own set of animations, each looking and feeling individually different from the rest. The camera is also intelligent and will adapt and move around depending on the situation and on what your Sims are doing. The arrow keys will rotate the camera, aswell as the "Q" and "E" keys. You can also move the mouse to the edges of the screen to rotate the camera while in third person, and use the mouse wheel to control the zoom.

2019.04.08:

Fixed a rare game breaking bug that could permanently delete your Sim from existence;
Sims and dogs will now seamlessly get in and out of pools;
Fixed dog swimming animations;
Dogs will no longer get the "Soaked" moodlet for not wearing swimwear while swimming;
Slightly lowered camera height for cats, dogs, toddlers and Sims swimming;
Slightly lowered indoors camera height;
Improved indoors camera controls;
Fixed hot tub camera;
Edge camera rotation will now only work if you have the "Edge Scrolling" option enabled;
Slightly lowered edge camera rotation sensitivity;
Ghost Sims won't collide with ANYTHING anymore;
Added some localization languages.

2019.04.12:

Fixed a bug where walls would go up and down while passing through doors or climbing stairs.

2019.04.14:

Added Alternative Camera. You can now press "Alt + C" to switch between third person camera and the alternative regular camera while in third person mode.

2019.08.08:

Fixed alternative camera keyboard rotation.

• Notes

This is a pure scripting mod compiled on the 1.67 (latest) version of the game. It simply adds a new behaviour to the game and doesn't override any game tunings, so there shouldn't be any conflicts with other mods or CC.
