Story Clarification: **minor spoilers warning!!**

Strangeytown follows the timeline as set out in the Nintendo handheld games. In case you’ve never had the pleasure of playing them, each GBA Sims title continues a largely singular story line. The order goes: The Sims Bustin’ Out (GBA) > Urbz: Sims in the City (GBA) > The Sims 2 (GBA) > The Sims 2 (DS)

In this case, Strangeytown is the Strangetown in the last two games (The Sims 2 GBA/DS), aka the end of the story. However, in order to keep characters succinct I’ve decided to rewind things a bit:

Example 1: Ara Fusilli is a teen as to keep her and Tank Grunt similar in age.

Example 2: Det. Dan D. Mann (and some notable others) are missing because I assume the Player (you) will begin at the START of the GBA story timeline and Dan arrives in Strangetown at the END of said timeline.

In other words, Strangeytown is a prequel from the perspective of what’s happening in Strangetown before Dan, Bigbucks, and others, arrive.

Known Issues:

(1) The top-level stairs in the Hotel are not functional, you have to manually move sims to the roof using the MoveObjects On cheat. These stairs are strictly ornamental to give the illusion that sims can use them to get to the roof.

(2) Also at the Hotel, if you hire a gardener they will stand idle all day because the plants are on split-level foundation blocks and they won’t know what to do.

Please Also Note:

You will need a camera mod to access some of the custom map and lots, such as GunMod’s Camera Mod on MTS.

I made Burple Emperor Xizzle’s adopted son; this is my headcanon I’m forcing on all of you.

Download Instructions:

Strangeytown as a MAIN HOOD: Put folder SGBA into: My Documents > The Sims 2 > Neighborhoods

Strangeytown as a SUBHOOD:

> Ultimate Collection users: Put folder BGBA into: Program Files (x86) > Electronic Arts > The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > Best of Business > EP3 > TSData > Res > NeighborhoodTemplate

> Non-Ultimate Collection users: Put folder BGBA into: Program Files (x86) > The Sims 2 > The Sims 2 Open For Business > TSData > Res > NeighborhoodTemplate

Subhood Note 1: These hoods are heavy with data so when you first create the subhood it might take an extra minute to load.

Subhood Note 2: When you add a subhood with sims, the Townies have their names randomized. This is normal! You have to manually change the names back using a mod like SimBlender or SimPE.
