BV Barndominium (BV Estates Makeover) - 4BR/3BA, no CC

Another barndominium build just like my last one, but this time it's CC free, and it tackles one of the most plain-looking build in The Sims 2 in my opinion: BV Estates!




Like, if they want to call it an estate, at least make it pretty, and if they don't want to make it pretty, at least make it cheap.

It was too big, too empty, and too plain; it really has nothing good going on. And no, the pond does not make the house look better, it just looks like a mosquito breeding ground.

So, I decided to get rid of the pond entirely and turn the build into a barndominium. I didn't change the exterior of the house that much, I just decreased the house size a few tiles on the side and the back so it's not stupidly big, and that gave me extra space for a long driveway, which is more useful than the stupid pond.

This build is perfect for a 6-8 sim househould because it has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a large communal space, be it the living area, the dining area, or the kitchen. The exterior has that traditional barn look except for that one side of the build where I just put lots of large windows to bring sunlights in, and the interior is your typical modern style, or at least as modern as The Sims 2 default furniture would allow it.

As I said, there's no CC here but I do recommend using the mod Perfect Plants by TwoJeffs because I put some shrubs under the stairs for that terrarium look, and the shrubs outside are also put so close to one another your sim or your sim's gardener might not be able to trim them.

Another mod that I use is of course Shiftable Everything - Move Any Object Up and Down by Lamare. This is most definitely a mod that I can no longer live without.
