It involves way too much clicking, though....

I'd like that too! (paging @Chris Hatch?) The other UI thing that's unnecessarily inconvenient is choosing recolours for buy/build items, especially for things like bedding that I have 40+ recolours for. So much clicking to look through them, and then I have to decide whether I liked the pattern that was 6 clicks back in the catalogue or the pattern that was 9 clicks back. Heaven help if I select one and then change my mind... and if (as usual) I want a different bed in the next room to have the same bedding, because that can't be eyedroppered!

It is possible (done) but it is a compromise because making the collection area bigger makes the selection area to the right smaller. I use only a few large collections so it doesn't suit me very well.
I have added 10 more collections to the window and made the collection organization window twice as wide.

@sushigal007, in the meantime though, you can organize the order of your collections--or did you already do that and that particular collection happens to be further back? If the latter is the case, I would reorganize collections so that the most frequent ones are just a few clicks from the front or back, and leave all the unused Maxis ones in the middle.

Oh I got rid of the EAxis ones ages ago and all mine are sorted by alphabetical order. There's just a lot of clicking to do to get from Appliances, Architecture, Art Studio, Awnings, Bags & Boxes, Balloons, Bar Stools... to Wall Deco. When it comes to making new wallpaper and floor collections, I make a new collection and send it to the front before adding the rest of the set, but with objects, I'm adding a variety of stuff to multiple existing collections, so that doesn't work so well. But looks like that won't be an issue for much longer!

Thank you, Chris, you're a shiny, shiny star! I'll pop that in my game now! :D
ETA: Oh yes, being able to see more than 6 of my 450 collections at a time is a definite improvement! But, and I apologise in advance if I sound ungrateful and greedy here, in my original post, I meant the popup window that appears on screen when you add an item to a collection. This is definitely a big improvement though!

I like it cuz it's not as cheaty as a mod that completely eliminates decay.

The HCD doesn't report any conflicts between those two mods. I don't currently have any businesses with managers to call, so I haven't been able to try it out yet.

I run the two hacks together when played Malcolm Landgraab. If there's any problems with them, I never noticed.

I can add that simply enough, re-download the file from the link above. It will display 15x4 or 60 at a time now, note that the clothing collections in CAS use the same UI data so it effects them as well.

I never thought I'd want a mod/hack for that but I found out that I do! I want a mod/hack to stop the police from coming to break parties I was so angry when I played the Summerdreams in Veronaville and a policewoman came to stop Puck's party (the one that starts the game for the Summerdreams!). And I thought this time I would be able to stop the "injustice" EAxis allow to happen when Tybalt and Mercutio fight. Why Tybalt has 10 body skill points and Mercutio has none??? How is that fair? Why wouldn't they both have equal chances to win those fights??? So, this time I played the Montys before the Summerdreams and Mercutio worked out for a whole week and managed to get 8 body skill points
When I went to the Summerdreams and the party started, only one fight took place, which Mercutio won, then out of nowhere, Juiliette started to poke and shove him (whaaat??? why???), Puck and Hermia kissed and went steady, Mercutio was crying (never understood if he cried because Juliette shoved him or because Hermia went steady with Puck!), Oberon and Titania got engaged and married and at the moment when another fight between Mercutio and Tybalt was about to start, the policewoman came and the party had to stop! I think all those teens mirrored my own feelings when they left the Summerdreams' home looking down on the ground and dragging their feet. And their walking, somehow, glitched like that because for the following days whilst I still played the Summerdreams, when one of those teens happened to walk outside the house, they still looked down and dragged their feet! I never understood why the party had to stop! I mean, why what was happenning was different from any normal day in Veronaville? Montys and Capps fought each other and a stereo was playing, duh...
The most ironic thing was that 1-2 nights after the party, a burglar tried to rob the Summerdreams and the same policewoman came to stop him. Thankfully the burglar didn't have the chance to steal anything but the policewoman lost the fight and he escaped. I was so mad when she walked in Puck's room to... announce that she "is not the cop she used to be"... I was screaming to my screen "of cource you let burglars escape, the only thing you are capable of doing is break a teen's party and... traumatize them all in the process"!!!

If there's no stereo playing, the police won't come.

Bulbizarre, isn't that kind of "hypocritical" from the game's part? Stereos play in my sims' houses 24/7 and the police don't come but they are triggered only by the "combination" stereo + party?
In my "mini-megahood" (Pleasantview + Riverside, Bluewatervillage, Downtown), Don Baxter lives in an appartment block in Pleasantview after his wife caught him cheating and divorced him and he thinks it's OK to play his guitar at 3 a.m. The guitar is placed on the balcony because there is no room in the appartment. I would find that more realistic if the police came for him. The sims 2 guitar with the amplifier is far too much noise to play at 3 a.m. and not disturb the neighbours...

Annaminna, thank you so much I totally think that there is a mod/hack out there for everything that can annoy us in the game, I wish I knew about each and every one of them. I feel so grateful towards anyone who "fixes" the game and then share their work with all of us

Now there's an idea for a new mod - police showing up for noise complaints outside of parties.

But with Sims having the tendency to turn on stereos whenever possible a mod like that would have the Police show up every single night hahahaha.

about cops breaking parties; according to base game's Prima Guide, each of the following would need to be met::
-after 11pm
- 4 or more visitors on lot
-stereo turned on

in recent times playing the Summerdream household, I had a sim turn off the stereo sometime before 11pm. and after the party reached "Roof Raiser" level, I had a sim turn it back on.

I would like a mod that allowed fitness to decay over time if you don't continue to workout. I hate that once you get fit you never get unfit as long as you don't overeat. I need a good reason for my active sims to keep up their morning workout routines.

I agree! They should't get fat unless they overeat, but sliding back to the neutral position should happen naturally if they spend a significant amount of time without working out.

I want a hack what disables subhood specific wants if these subhoods are not added to neighborhood. I mean Vacation subhoods and Uni subhoods . Especially if sims are on Stone Age.

I believe this is already a feature of Pescado's wfsanity. It might not do anything about "go to college" wants, but I believe it suppresses all vacation-related wants if there is no vacation subhood available. It does a whole lot of want-suppressing:
Quote:
Tons of sanity and personality checks added to wants, including:
1. No longer will want to play/etc. with people who aren't here. (Talk OK)
2. Knowledge sims no longer obsessed with attempted suicide unless low ASP.
3. Supernatural creatures no longer want to cure others of type.
4. Flirting with ugly and inappropriate people discouraged.
5. Cannot fear being caught cheating unless actually cheating.
6. Extremely implausible events with no history not feared.
Ex: Death of non-elder in neighborhood with no history of unnatural death.
Becoming enemies with best friends with no history of best friend loss.
7. No obsession with unaccessible pets.
8. Skating no longer valid want unless rink actually present.
9. Only kids and silly non-neat people want to balloon/snowball fight.
10. Very mean sims no longer actually WANT to give gifts.
11. Snow activities require presence of actual snow!

I have wfsanity and I definitely experienced vacation wants as soon as I installed BV, before I created vacation neighborhoods. I've also seen fears of being caught cheating from sims who weren't cheating, but it was just one sim and she was a Maxis premade, so maybe she had a crush flag with some other Maxis premade that I was unaware of.

I usually can't even get those wants to appear when I have vacation hoods attached!

Honestly, getting a sim to ever roll any wants that I want them to roll is so impossible. I don't understand what is even happening. Is there logic? Is there actually some code or something controlling any of this?
