Default Have You Ever Used The Default Clown Or Gorilla Outfits?
The clown default outfits I believe came with The Freetime expansion pack and the gorilla outfits and heads came with Open For Business Expansion pack I think. So? Do you use them actively or have you ever thought about using them I have. I once made a weird man with a mustache and a smiley face into the gorilla costume to be like a neighborhood creep with the gorilla head to match, his name was Abe Applecart, he lived by himself and for some reason could not find himself a girlfriend, anyway I scrapped that neighborhood and never got much playtime with Abe Applecart, so I plan on making a new creepy smiley face man in a gorilla costume today in my game and move him into Old Town Neighborhood I plan on making him playfull and mean lazy and some what neat and outgoing.

I already made my first clown using the Freetime outfit I remade Sonny The Tragic Clown from The Sims 1, but he living a happy life currently in the Original Downtown, I also made a male and female sea captain using that Marie hat that came with one of the Expansion packs as well.

So? How many of you guys ever used or thought about using the Default Maxis Clown or Gorilla Outfits?

How many of you use the full face paint for the mime and clown as well? also can't for get about the freckles as well too

I've used the clown outfit as a Halloween costume, and several of the other costume-ish outfits for Halloween and theatre/stage performance themed purposes, plus a few other things like themed preview pictures. I can't remember having used the gorilla outfit, though.

I'm scared of clowns. You won't see me ever touch it in my game. When my Sims wear it for the Entertainment career, I zoom far away so I can't see them. As for the gorilla suits.... Nope. I don't use them either, at least not right now. If I find the perfect Sim for it perhaps. OR! If a Sim annoys me enough, I shall punish them by wearing that suit. Marvelous idea! :D

I might use them for some crazy sims or a real goof who like to dress in strange outfits and the clown for the town joker who likes to entertain with music.

I never used them before, but I found that they give custom neighborhoods a wacky, creepy feel, so I added some to my neighborhoods.

I do u se them at times. It seems kind of fitting to dress a sim in a clown outfit before he is off to entertain strangers at a random street corner, does it not?
Sometimes, I dress random townies in these outfits - why not? The Gorilla is just back from his day job at the circus, isn't he? He teaches kids about gorillas there (or my imagination allows that)

One of my most beloved Sims was a big fellow in the gorilla suit, with the rainbow/stars facepaint. His story was that he'd been raised by gorillas, but his gorilla mom revealed his true origins and told him to shoot for the stars, hence the facepaint.

He adopts two children and his hobby is stargazing, hoping to meet aliens some time. (He hasn't had any luck!)

Oh. Also he eventually got a waifu with the white gorilla outfit. She was raised by yetis.

Is this dumb? Yes. Very. I loved it. He was very confrontational as a gorilla-man.

I never have, but I've thought of using them as mascots for theme parks and chain restaurants.

I am thinking of having 2 guys in gorilla costumes be enemies in my neighborhood and have them pick fights each other and she who will win the most fights Black Vs White or Pink

I've not once touched them, but I love a good llama mascot head sim from time to time. I like setting dumb costumes as work uniforms, so I might make a gorilla-themed restaurant soon, who knows <3

And you may ask yourself, "Am I right? Am I wrong?"
And you may say to yourself, "My God! What have I done?"

Nope, never. I have no real use for them in my fantasy-medieval hood.

I might see the clown as a street entertainer in my Pleasantview Epic Challenge though that is taking place in a 17th century Early American colonial settlement when the town was first started at the turn of the 17th cenutry in the spring. That kind of thing liley will happen once the town has at least a dozen families residing there and most will be farmers and a few working sims will live there as those ones were comvisted criminals sentenced to be transported to a colony.

Clowns were a thing that the real life native Americans used to do to their faces during some kind of ceremony sometime back in the day I heard on some cable tv show a while back too

GOOGLED THIS
History. The most ancient clowns have been found in the Fifth Dynasty of Egypt, around 2400 BC. Unlike court jesters, clowns have traditionally served a socio-religious and psychological role, and traditionally the roles of priest and clown have been held by the same persons.

Well, I don't have the clown outfit because I don't have FreeTime (though I suspect there may be some pre-FreeTime CC clowns).

However I have kept the gorilla outfit in case my Sims ever want to have a fancy dress party. I mean somebody might want to dress up as a gorilla. To be honest I don't do default replacements, so all the Maxis outfits are still available for my Sims to wear. None of the more extreme outfits ever appear on townies in my game, so I guess there must be some coding stopping these being used on generated Sims.

All Sims are beautiful -- even the ugly ones.

You won't catch me humiliating my sims by making them dress up in silly outfits. Not at all.

Come to think of it though, I don't have a gorilla...

Clown and other creatures (no gorillas, but there's a dragon/alligator, if that counts?). Had even more in the same costume/Halloween party, but most were downloaded costumes. I think most of these are ingame ones (or age conversions). I find them pretty useful at times, at least if I've not stocked up on CC and need costumes for something quick.

Poor kid looks like he got his under tail kicked

how did you catch that? I mean I didn't think children could fight each other

Or is that a pose?

I think the three kids to the left were doing a smustle dance or something like that, and I just placed them a bit closer to each other with cheats. He is really just doing some kind of butt-shake, shaking his other arm behind the other two kids.

When you say it, does look like someone kicked him, though

Is that somekind of Tekken video game fighter in the right hand side of the photo? the guy with the combat boots looks like a reference from somekind of fighting game on PlayStation 1 and who are the other characters? I'm curious the only only I know is Sonny The Tragic Clown and Marky Sharky both were sims 1 NPC's. and of course Miss Crumplebottom,

and who's the Zombie Chef, doctor, or, Scientist lol

Most of them aren't anyone in particular, just townies who have had makeovers when the stylist was bored.
The zombie is an actual NPC chef, he's Mrs Crumplebottom's boyfriend Justin Thyme. The one with the bag on his head is The Mystery sim; he makes hoax phonecalls in my neighbourhood, and everyone has a memory of having a first kiss with him. Except for The Mystery Sim himself, who had his first kiss with Sim Sample. Will Wright is to the right between the clown and Marky Sharky; JM Pescado is next to Marky. And the guy on the right is TechnoViking. Most of the sims in the image are townies and have been in the neighbourhood for many years. The guy in the pointy hat next to the work bench predates the neighbourhood; he was a bad makeover from a previous incarnation of the hood and made me laugh every time he walked by, so I kept him.

I've got some custom replacement for the soccer outfits to use in my Pleasantview game as it's back in the turn of the 17th century when the town forst got settled as a new colony.

I used the gorilla outfits once. Made four Sims dress in them for a band performance. As you might have guessed their band name was the Gorillaz.

Previously known as HarVee. Just call me Yin from now on.

I might use some of the default costume outfits for sims that like strakge outfits and some for sims who belong to some cult groups.

I used the clown costume before in my game, and I did not like at all. My entertainment sims go through a level of needing that uniform and they all look bloated. So now I use default replacements. I also have a carnival/boardwalk lot and I prefer the entertainers have a more Carnie look to them. I think that's also a bit more modern, not many people like classic clowns at parties and events.

I decided on these default replacements in case anyone is interested

I've never had a reason to use them. The only time my sims get use out of them is if they're needed for career outfits. I have some of the gorilla heads default replaced.

When a game is predictable, it's boring.
That goes for any medium that isn't life.
That's why The Sims 2 is my favourite sims game.
It has elements of unpredictability and everything feels more involved.
The Sims 4 is another story altogether...
