Enabling all hair colors for Elder sims. Some custom hair retains the colors for elders but it'd be nice if I didn't have to change my elder sims hairstyle if they don't feel like being gray immediately.

Dorms get messy pretty quickly, especially the larger ones that house more than 8 sims. That plus my playables, and the cow mascot constantly pulling pranks, maids just don't have long enough to clean up that mess...

I second that, I would love a multiple maid and gardener mod, I feel like that just amplifies the luxury effect of having several members of staff to keep up with everything. Or at least a mod that stops them from leaving until the work is done...

Sim maids take work/life balance seriously. No working all day and all night. XD

Parking bumpers. Decorative for neighborhood deco use. I'm making some parking areas (see below) but they look odd without that small detail...

Parking lots without them are pretty normal though? How else are you going to pull through a space?

The idea was to use them as curbs to make grassy areas as seen here.

In most parking lots I've been in, you are not supposed to do that. You are supposed to drive in the aisles in between the rows of parking spaces.

I admit that some of the non-apt residential lots are recreations from 3 with different wall coverings and floors, However the highway system in the middle of the 'hood and many of the actual apartment lots are based off what I saw during my vacation in real Egypt many years ago. So, it's not really anything in particular just kind of a fantasy mash-up of many different Egyptian things.

The idea is to be an Egyptian-themed neighborhood but still live in the realm of The Sims 2. ...If that makes sense.

Once I get all the lots done, I'll be opening it up to the public for feedback, story advice, etc.

That's what the butler's for! And you don't have to keep him around; you can just fire him after a day or so.

Whenever I hire a butler, he spends all his time trying to harass my toddlers and doesn't wind up getting much cleaning and gardening done.

If the whole thing with Egypt inspires you maybe you could try to make, recreate some lots from 3 Egypt.

Butler will always fire other servants if you allow him to do all the work.

I love butlers! I use Cyjon's mods to make them better- CJ-BetterButlerMeals, CJ-ButlerAsksToFire, CJ-ButlerFix, CJ-MoreButlerCooking, and CJ-ApartmentButlers are the ones I use. ButlerAsksToFire will make the butler ask before sacking your maids, nannys and gardeners in case you want extra help. Get them all here:

I have a short butler at the moment, which makes me laugh so much because he looks so funny when trying to reach things!

I like some of the lots from 3, but the ones I remake definitely will only have minimal similarities since I'm trying to keep a certain visual aesthetic. For example:

The husband moved out and then murdered both his ex-wife and the butler.

Oooh, spicy! In Lacuna D the butler of the rich family had an affair with the lady of the house and they had a love child. She immediately sent the baby for adoption (baby was quickly adopted into a loving home) and the butler, Babbage, was retired (I made him into a townie with hilarious results).

The lady of the house missed Babbage though and had the local roboteer make her a Babbage replica servo to help out around the house.

Ah, I realize now that, yeah, I'm using mods to make the Butler better. I do use Butler is No Nanny so that the Butler can just focus on the cleaning and gardening duties, otherwise, yes, he often gets distracted trying to do both, especially if there's more than one kid. I think I also have the mod that makes the Butler ask before firing the other service sims. In this way, my super rich sims can have a fleet of staff to take care of the household and the Butler becomes a bit like the head of staff that oversees everyone and finishes up the jobs the regulars can't finish.

Although, since this is the Hacks I'd Like to See thread, I have always wanted a better way for the Butler to cook food. I'd like the ability to be able to click on him at any time and tell him to make food, and which dish I'd like him to make. Honestly, it'd be nice to do that with everything--sort of like a Butler Manager, where you can toggle on and off the duties you'd like him to handle--like maybe in one household, you just need him to be a nanny, in other he could just cook, etc. And yeah, for the cooking, you can toggle which meals you'd like him to make--breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner, and you'd be able to set the times you'd like the meal to be ready for. Then you'd be able to toggle which meals he's eligible to cook and how many servings you'd like him to make of each meal. This way if you have cc he's not serving ice cream or something else inappropriate and you can have him make meals for just one or two people all the time, as opposed to making a large serving and getting leftovers later. Or you could do the opposite--have him make big batch meals every so often and then the family eats the leftovers until they're gone. And I guess, if I'm wishing, it be nice to be able to schedule him, too; because sometimes you don't need him hanging around all day. So it'd be nice if you could hire him to come in twice a week to cook meals or whatever, and then leave.
