You can uninstall the OneDrive from your computer or disable it if you think it's interfering with your saves. I'd heard nothing good about it so I uninstalled it.

Doesn't affect the game at all.

I've used onedrive for years, but that was when restricted itself to the onedrive folder.

So, last night I tried deleting the cloned neighborhoods, only for the regular neighborhood to be removed to. Reinstalled the game; no hoods. Uninstalled the game, deleted all files and folders.....finally back to working, albeit from a fresh start with the month's progress I've made since I bought the legacy collection disappearing. A disappointment to be sure, but it's not like it was an older, built-up neighborhood. I'm going to take things slower this time round, and will let a fresh story emerge -- though I'm still using those sisters.

There's been a baby boom in Portland lately.

After several rotations of trying, family sims Conall and Ilga had their first child. Both parents are ecstatic and love spending time with him.

While attending his nephew's first birthday party, Misha immediately picked him up and marched him over to the bathtub. I didn't realize he was that stinky, but I guess my sim's noses are more sensitive than mine. His own daughter Nadia was quite upset that her cousin was receiving more attention and sadly followed her mom around the house.

Emlyn decided to visit her best friend Greta and immediately waltzed off into the bedroom for some ACR woohoo with Greta's partner Zuberi. They got pregnant on their first woohoo, but Emlyn was decidedly unhappy about it. Deciding not to confess her indiscretion to Greta, Emlyn asked her adult plantsim daughter and a random stranger to be with her when the baby was born. Emlyn soon realized that little Herb would be better off living with his father, who was ecstatic to meet him. He had been trying to convince Greta to try for baby, but she wasn't interested and moved out. Now everyone is happy.

Emlyn's daughter Daisy, on the other hand, absolutely adores children. Anytime she visits a house she immediately walks over to the nearest baby or toddler and starts playing with them, even if she's just met their parents. I was surprised since she's a romance sim, but I'll let her have a child or two. I think it would make her happy. She hasn't met anyone she's interested in yet, but as a plantsim she always has the option to grow a baby.

I just made Mortimer Goth a young man again, then he married that gal he has been after, "Caliente." They now have a set of twins, one boy and one girl. And Cassandra married Darren Dreamer, and his son and Mortimer's son grew up together as teenagers and are now in college. (I just dumped them there; I needed the room in the house for all the twins.) So Cassandra and Darren now have a set of twins, and they are growing up with Mortimers twins all in the same home, but somehow one of the twin infants got lost in the house and I could not find her no matter how many nannies I hired and I looked everywhere, even in the storage bin! I could see the baby in the gallery but could not find her. Her twin brother grew into a toddler, but I could not find her. Her needs were steady, so she was ok wherever she was.
I had the house all decorated just as I wanted it, but it drove me crazy not finding that baby. Then I counted, and somehow I had 9 sims in one house. I think what happened is just before the teens left for college, babies were getting born (twins), and it goofed up the game a bit having 9 sims in the house instead of 8. So, the only thing that I could do was move out the entire family (save furniture cheat code did not work) and move them back in. Yeah,,,,,,,,, had to redecorate the whole Goth house. I wanted to leave it retro, but once I got started, I redecorated the whole place. I did leave the outside the same, and Mortimer packed up all the tombstones before he moved. LOL The Goth house is still haunted.

Week 2 in my take on the tiered apocalypse challenge starring the Desiderata Valley sims. All three sims who were born into the apocalypse - Levi Aspir, Jakob Bell and Engla Contrary - are now teens. Levi is family like his dad, and Jakob and Engla are both pleasure sims. Pauline Aspir is also a teen, and constantly raging due to her low aspiration. Overall the younger sims seem to be doing better, which I guess is understandable - this is all they've ever known.
Daniel Bell is now an adult.
Opal Contrary and Sophia and Marcel Jocque grew up to elders but died shortly after, as did Edward Contrary who was already an elder. Sophia died of old age, the other three of starvation by collapsing on the floor instead of going to sleep in a bed, and then not waking up in time (elders can't be controlled in this stage of the challenge). I think they all died in pretty much the same spot on the floor, too. I can't help but suspect they sacrificed themselves for their children. So now Violet, Rick and their respective younger siblings are fending for themselves in the household. Luckily Violet's brother Allan was already a teen, and Engla became one at the end of the week, so things aren't too difficult.
Issac Bell and John Mole both got demoted due to poor work performance, and Allan Jocque even got fired from his job in the military career for the same reason. I've never had sims be demoted or fired for any other reason than chance card failures before. Sharon Wirth also took a job in the military career but never went to work so she had to quit on her first day. I had also snuck Sophia into the military career right before she became an elder to have one less mouth to feed during the day, but she also skipped work and had to quit. And Violet Jocque got fired on her first day in the military career due to a chance card. I don't know what it is about that career. Daniel Bell is doing pretty well at least, and Levi Aspir just started. Sharon took a new job in the medical career which meant that Jakob could also start in it.
Lack of hygiene is almost a bigger problem than hunger, at least everyone is complaining way more about it. Right now pretty much the entire game revolves around sinks. Wash hands over and over, take sponge baths, gather around the sink and complain about low hygiene, try to get to the sink and complain that someone's in the way, wash the sink to raise the cleaning skill, drink water from the sink to take away the worst of the hunger, repair sink when it inevitably breaks because everyone is constantly using it, which probably takes five years because sims keep starting and stopping due to low needs (probably hygiene), get in the way of everyone to mop up water from the broken sink... I can't wait for the medical career to be lifted so sims can finally have showers.

Taking a break from the established families, I settled in newly made families and households who will help keep expanding the already huge population furthur...

Enter Chiang Gao Rikuno, an EastNation Sim made in homage to a similarly-named Sim in 2010. Back then, he had 10 children with his sole wife until he reached the end of his adult life; here, he was a little distraught by Touko Rikuno, his official wife, who wants no more than 2 kids... Therefore, he had to resort to having a mistress, Melissandra Bennett, to bear 2 more kids, for a total of 4.

Chiang is a kind family man. He is such a lovely dude when he chats normally due to his 10 Nice points, where he claps and smiles widely like Supreme Leader Susan Pleasant and her creepily endearing smiles... Unfortunately, he spent most of the 2 weeks working as a High School Teacher, which pays well but required him to work 8 to 16 so he had no time to tend to the kids, let alone working on skills for promotion.

Fortunately, he is tagged along by his young cousin, Ten Gao Yi, who has a job but also studies in a private school. It is a shame I didn't take more pictures of him raising his 1st cousins once removed, but Ten is what Chiang wishes he could be. Ten wants to marry into the Pleasant-Burb families, but he will have to wait till their turn for he is also very busy!

For his wife and mistress, they don't have the same hard work like he does, so they are forced to help with raising kids from time to time. Both of them have Romance as their Aspiration, secondary for Touko. That made them oddly very similar, beyond their appearances and personality... Thus, they both take no issue with cheating, while Chiang does, but only with Touko! Touko will have to be convinced towards Fortune some day.

The Rikuno family is about an average "wealthy" family with the goal of 100,000+ Simoleons and 4 children. They had a rough start seeing their 150,000 cash evaporated onto an alright house while still incompletely furnished, and they have not reached their target career levels. Still, Chiang is now working more leisurely as a University Guest Lecturer and has all the children he needs, if nowhere close to what he really wants!

Sir Whiskers like to sit on the serving surface where food needs to be put, so we waste the serving platter by not putting it anywhere. He then got high on something, probably playing with a mouse with valerian root.

I preserve running in my mods. Somehow this townie resident got confused and has been running everywhere for several days.

Looks like Im back on TS2 after many years of not having TS2.
Got TS2 to work through steam and got my mods and default/Minimal CC working and I was in for a suprise as legacy version works very well on my laptop.

I currently setting up an intergrated Ultra-Uberhood (no random townies, minimal amounts of NPCs etc) with all maxi and downloaded freeplay hoods plus a few from MS2 and Oboy... Im in for some trouble.....

....200 effing households and 500 playables
(manage to cull it down with empty/clean templates for townies. Downtown only have Tricou resurected so no Divas/Slobs Took me like 3 hood remakes to get what i wanted)

Thankfully i prefer play a speed through gameplay where i tweak aging and mods and only play storytelling purpose where i dont play through all HH in whole but use mods to age sims up and certain HH i only plan to play around with Simblender/Insiminator. But even so, 200 HH is going to take a while.

Something I missed when playing TS3, having this tons of sims

All neighborhoods in my Uberhood (maxi and MS2 custom hoods):

Pleasantview, Bluewater village, Bitville, Four Corners, Garden Height, Arbor Falls, Downtown (Tricous only), Belladonnacove, Emerald Heights, Veronaville, Bayside Flats, Shady Shore, Widespot, Desirata Village, Riverblossom Hills, Strangetown, Sedona Deluxe, Mesa Flats,

All maxi universites premades and custom Quadington zombies turned into regular sims and custom vacation destination (Winter wonderland and Moonbase Apollo)

So 22 in total excluding destinations

I also played all of those custom neighborhoods in an Uberhood, they're really fun to play together. Emerald Heights, Bayside Flats, Shady Shore, and Widespot will always be among my favorites, also Mesa Flats. Although I hope that in the future you give a chance to what has come out in recent years. They all seem great to me. And I also hope that one day you give Service Area a try when it updates with the improvements, I'm almost there!! XD

Yeah These are the hoods I was familiar with in the past. As Im trying to reduce the population/households by combining HH and fewer children, I might expand the uberhood in the future. Without the maxi townies, I still havent reached the character files of a regular clean template of a ea maxi uberhood.

Desiderata Valley apocalypse: Allan Jocque and Pauline Aspir became adults at the beginning of the week. I had put Allan in the culinary career shortly before that, and he got promoted to waiter. So he was bumped from level one straight to level five. ...I'll take it. Then both he and Rick Contrary were promoted one after the other so now they're both at level six.
I put in a mod so that no friends are needed for promotions, because I thought that made sense at least in the early stages. Now that there's no need to put in a ton of effort to make and keep friends, that also allows for the apocalypse to truly feel lonely and isolated. The households form their own little tribes of sorts, in which the members rely on one another and mostly just know each other. At the same time, people are very willing to greet neighbours passing by and strike up a conversation now that they're all in the same boat. It might not lead to any deep or long-lasting relations, and even friends made might never come by again, but it's something.
It's not easy being a romance sim. Pauline Aspir has already had at least one breakdown so far. She did get to meet Hannah and Daniel Bell, and is getting along quite well with Daniel. Strictly platonically though, as she's only into women and he's not interested in anyone.
Rick Contrary and Viola Jocque have been giving each other a lot of backrubs lately, and Rick says he thinks Viola's attractive. Something might be developing between them. I was never feeling them as a potential couple earlier, but in these circumstances I think it makes sense.

Noriko Aspir died, leaving 588 simoleons to grandson Levi, 50 to Victor, and a grand total of six simoleons for Pauline. Luis Aspir was already incredibly old at the start of the hood, and had many days left, but apparently I had also let him wish for the power to cheat death so he got some extra days out of that, too, so god knows how old he actually became, it stopped counting at 108 days.

Levi Aspir became an adult at the end of the week and was promoted to junior officer. He grew up into a white tanktop and white pants, which made me think about a videogame that had this detective character who always wore a white coat to show off his spotless record, and I wonder if Levi is going for something similar to impress his subordinates. Keeping white clothes spotless during an apocalypse with no showers is quite a feat.

Engla Contrary had some rough teenage years. Fortunately she's very neat and would always pick up the trashcan and clean up the trash after kicking it down. She grew up into all black clothes, maybe to hide any filth that might get on them. Her whole personality revolves around complaining about low hygiene. Everyone does, but they at least have something going on besides that. Ok, sometimes she cleans the sink, too, once she's tired of screaming in front of it.

Jakob Bell also became an adult. He's in the medical career just like Pauline.

I've been playing through the Pleasant (or should I say Morgan) twins again just for fun, Lily is doing so well and is so happy. She got an A+ report card, such a jump from the D she had with her old family.

(For those who haven't seen me talk about it before, the story I like to give the twins is that they get adopted by a military family, and I do a role reversal making Lily the patient and dutiful one).

No one thought Jennifer Burb would allow herself to be pregnant again, not after delivering a set of twins, but now that young Jack and James are in school, evidently she thought it was worth the gamble to have another little girl. Instead, she popped out baby Joe, who gives the Burbs five kids, joining Lucy, John Jr, and the twins.

Angela and Lilith Pleasant are off to college, and are looking forward to living it up after living under the thumb of their stern mother. Both secretly wish that Daniel and Kaylynn had gotten the house, since Kaylynn would have been like, so much cooler to live with and not as hung up on their trying to sneak out to parties and such. (Daniel and Kaylynn live in Bluewater Village, in the Landgraab mansion. For some reason I decided Daniel and Malcolm were best friends growing up, and Malcolm has proven a dutiful Uncle Mal to young Dan Jr, now entering school.

The Oldies agreed to take in six foster children whose previous adopted parents both died in a gruesome llama stampede, and have added a second story to their home to accommodate the Newsons.

At Flagg Trailer Park, Dixie and Mitch Wolonoski nearly lost Dixie’s trailer when Dixie set a fire and she and Mitch both allowed it to grow in their panic until it was devouring the entire kitchen: after putting out some of the inferno, Mitch went to work and left Dixie to finish it off. Dixie was not impressed, but Mitch and she are both romance sims who use each other as partners of convenience. Dixie, who already spends most of the day in her greenhouse, also turned into a plantsim, made a mini-me, then took a potion to become human after Mitch asked her to. (Herb Oldie is also a plantsim, but it doesn’t seem to bother Coral.)

After much debate, the Arundel town council has decided that once Mayor Beatrice Potter ends her term in office, the next Mayor will be based on seniority and length of service to the town.

Amy Klein will be the next Mayor, having been in the career track for a long, long time and she's itching to take over.
Present position: Senior Alderwoman of the Small Council

Other candidates are:
Brian Lawrence-Present position: Senior Alderman of the Small Council, who will be retiring from the position he's held in a few days, thus giving up his chance for the office.
Becky Newman-Present position: Junior Alderwoman of the Small Council
Matilda Lawrence-present position: Junior Alderwoman of the Small Council
Isabel Go-present position: Alderwoman of the Great Council

Due to the fact that her father and stepmother have both held the position previously, Sarah Potter Chin will remain in her current job, junior Alderwoman of the Small Council, until all the other candidates have had a chance at the position.

The election will be held on Monday; the Mayoral collar and attendant duties will be passed on to the newest officeholder.

Sir William is in the post of Chancery Clerk and his wife Beatrice will be also elevated to that position upon the election.

Arundel still does not have a Queen or King due to the intricacies of the political process.

Experimenting with the Simlogical school system (I never really played it, but always wanted to). These two rule breakers sure better hope Mrs. Dionisio (my eighth grade dean years ago who is now retired) doesn't catch them skipping class to engage in PDA or they'll be in ISR for a day!

I put Lily back in her Maxis outfit to do this scene.

In School Restriction, also known as In School Suspension (ISS), Intervention Room (IR; Port Charlotte High called it that), detention (which is defined differently in different schools, but in some it's the same as ISR), ERC (I don't even know what that stands for, I just know Punta Gorda Middle used to call it that), etc. They sit at their desk in a room in total silence all day long and work on homework, except for a couple of brief breaks where the go outside and lunch. Knew it well in middle school myself, have written referrals that cause kids to go to it now as an adult.

I don't know why I didn't explain that, lol.

Edit: In case someone doesn't know what PDA is (which could reasonably be a fair number of folks), it's Public Display of Affection (kissing, etc). I don't know about everywhere else, but Florida schools are rather strict.

Desiderata apocalypse: Victor Aspir passed away from old age. He dutifully went to work every day even as an elder when I couldn't control him, but didn't quite manage to reach the top of the medical career to lift its restrictions. My self-imposed rule says a household needs three or more members, so as only Pauline and her younger brother Levi were left in that household, I combined theirs and the Bell/Mole's household. Sharon and John eventually passed from old age too, leaving both my current households with two sets of siblings whose parents had been friends in each.

Since Violet Jocque and Rick Contrary were getting kind of intimate, I randomized 50/50 whether or not to actively make them start a romance, and the answer was yes. Still, I had second thoughts when having Violet check Rick out and she only gave him a 'meh', but I guess that action unlocked something because a few seconds later she decided to leap into his arms.
As nice it was to have only adults for a while, babies would need to be born for the challenge to continue, so now that Violet and Rick were a thing, and had only six days left in the adult lifestage, I decided to randomize whether or not to have them have a baby. I only gave them a one in four chance, but the answer once again was yes. So Violet gave birth to a baby girl who was named Maria after Violet's late parents, Marcel and Sophia. Violet and Rick were just at the brink of adulthood when the apocalypse started, so I was thinking they wouldn't want to put children into that world, but then again, they've lived in it for a long time already so maybe they changed their minds. Or Violet thought she couldn't get pregnant as she was middle-aged. But it could also be the case that she's been feeling like she lacks purpose, and thought raising a child could give her a sense of it. The household used to be absolutely dependant on her hunting for meat, but lately most people in the household have been working so she's been able to just hang out at home and get by on instant meals and not having much to do.
Her brother Allan has been chipping away at the culinary career. Since sims can only serve one meal a day until someone reaches the top of the career, I only want sims who don't have work that day to eat at home so that particularly hungry sims can have extra servings. But one morning, Allan was insisting on getting a plate even though I crossed it out and directed him to go out and do other things, as his carpool was coming in just an hour. Eventually I even locked the door on him but he passed right through it and grabbed a plate. I took it from him and put it inside, but it came in empty and thus one portion was completely wasted.
All sims who had stayed at home were very hungry, so at midnight I directed Rick to grill hamburgers, but the plate somehow disappeared, probably when he was going through his hunger animations, even though I had taken measures to prevent exactly that. So I had him go back to the kitchen, and let him use a stove as an exception to finish the new meal quicker, as the first serving had unfairly vanished. But even that delay turned out too long, because just around the time the food was done, Rick's younger sister Engla was scared by a ghost and it pushed her hunger over the edge, killing her. At least she died doing what she loved, standing in front of the sink. Really though, poor Engla had one rough life. Born into the apocalypse and died young before a single restriction was lifted, a pleasure sim born into a time with not many pleasures to be had, an extremely neat sim who never got to take a shower in her life. Also, she and Jakob Bell were both pleasure sims and had compatible orientations so I was thinking they might be able to make each other happy, but they never got to meet. And with that, one of baby Maria's very first memories was her aunt dying.

Levi Aspir was working in the military and got promoted to flight officer. He befriended townie Julie Monif and started a little fling with her. I also let him restore a car to raise his mechanical skills.

Daniel Bell missed a day of work and thus had to lose his job entirely. Being a fortune sim, getting fired sent him into aspiration failure. But it provided a good opportunity to make an heir or two in this household. He and Pauline had become good friends so I made her pregnant, pretending that it was an insemination using tools Pauline had taken home from her work at the hospital. They ended up having twins, Miriam and Elias, with Elias being named after Pauline's mother Elizabeth who died from food poisoning early in the challenge.
Having just lost his job, Daniel got the questionable honour of being the children's primary caregiver in the middle of all general misery. But uncle Jakob and uncle Levi were very helpful. Levi even started wanting to have a kid of his own. Pauline also took part, but I'm making her put most of her efforts into skilling and trying to keep her mood ok for the last stretch of the medical career.
And then one night Daniel suddenly got a picture of Levi with the action 'sigh' in his queue. Outside, Levi was being scared to death by a ghost. I never saw who it was, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was Elizabeth, she's been haunting him since he was a kid.

I went to a residential high school my last two years (not in Florida), and the rules for PDA were so strict, it was like: Challenge accepted! Had the exact opposite effect of its intention LOL.

ETA I should say what's happening in my game to stay on topic. I got my game working on my new desktop Mac finally and discovered in the files I had transferred over when I first set up the computer a backup of my long lost, absolutely favorite Strangetown playthrough. The backup was from almost 12 months ago. And it was an older backup, too, so some Sims had been brought back to life or youth.

I'm surprised Inge didn't put a "ban PDA" option in the institution mods like the "ban fighting", "ban oder comments", etc. I work for a school district and I can tell you staff IRL in general will say something about PDA long before they say anything about someone saying someone stinks, in fact I'd bet my save folder that staff have themselves told students they stink, lol. I wish I had the "ban fighting" option IRL though, can someone mod real life?

You should see the rules at Pensacola Christian College on PDA. They're not even allowed to hold hands! This along with a lot of other super strict rules that give West Point and the Naval Academy a run for their money; you pretty much have to want that kind of strictness to survive there. That's the place I said in my story Angie and Lily Morgan ended up going to, and where their adoptive mom graduated from.

I thought, since I am hosting the building contest, that I should try and sort out my cc.

It is a bit hard - I seriously have never used this or that set in my life. But they both are so pretty! Sigh.

Perhaps I should build a lot or 2 especially to use those sets, then I have an excuse to keep them.
