You can try summon her to lot and unpause. Her ghost will fade away and a message about her dying and it might register then.

You could also add the memory, with SimPE or - oh, I know there's a memory manipulator or editor or something, what's it called? Probably Memory Manipulator, that's the kind of name modders give their creations.

Unfortunately artificallly-added memories arent quite the same as real ones. Sims don't cry at them for example.

I tried using the Memory Commander but there was no option to add a death memory so I just used SimPE. The poor guy's lost two wives already, I'm not sure he should try again a third time.

I was testing stuff out with my good old Cyd Roseland and his downtownie girlfriend; this time it was routing issues with hot tubs. Something weird happened, Cyd was able to enter the hot tub with walls surrounding 3 of its sides but the girlfriend was not even after I removed every wall, she started stomping as if there was a routing issue. I thought maybe somehow it had bugged because of moveobjects so I quit without saving, reloaded the lot and placed a new hot tub without any walls remotely near. Again, Cyd could enter but she could not. I reset her with testingcheats, still no change. Why? What's happening?

They both died of sickness. Yes... sickness. It wasn't anything slipped into their tea, why would you even ask?

Possibly because when a second person gets in the hot tub, they need to get in to a different spot?

That's strange, I do remember people saying that they have had certain sims have difficulty with routing over sloped terrain and certain objects with no obvious cause, so maybe the sim is glitched? I would begin by resetting the sim and removing any CC on her and going from there.

Unrelated, but I find this funny because through several neighbourhoods, my Cyd always rolls as gay!

Way ahead of you, I already tried resetting her before I originally asked the question. She doesn't have any CC either and the lot is an empty plot of land with a base game hot tub in the middle of the grass.

I had this problem with a sim before too. It was only the one female and she wasn't pregnant so I have no idea what caused it. I just ended up just removing the hot tub from that house altogether. The rest of the family had no problems getting in and out though.

Since my testing seems to not have been fruitful, can I surround a hot tub (specifically the black one on the ground, not the wooden one above ground) with walls on 2 or 3 sides?

I've never had luck placing them against walls. They need the slots (? not sure) to enter tub.

Has anyone ever tried to max out the price of a lot? It's probably hit the 32-bit integer.

Update: I moved the Travellers to an empty lot and tried the same tests as with the Roselands, this time without any issues. Turns out all you need for a hot tub to be fully usable is to leave the middle tile of one of the sides without walls, so the normal restrictions of not being able to place walls around a hot tub make no sense. Also I still don't understand the problem with Christy Raha for her to throw a routing error in any configuration.

Perhaps there is uneven ground on the lot where the hot tub was. They sometimes can't walk over uneven ground. Then on another loading they can.

I had a sim in a previous hood.
Since childhood, she could not get up the tiniest of hills (although the rest of the family had NO problems) and as an adult, she did not change.
I had to remove my pretty landscaping at that house and put some steps in for her as well. It looked rubbish.
While I am not completely sure, I think she was born with no active points, which means she was a PITA all her life. Spent the rest of her life on extremely flat lots.

That also doesn't explain it, the lot was perfectly flat.

How serious is a cough?


Zachary Miller (better known as Zack) isn't feeling too well. He coughed a couple of times yesterday, but I didn't think much of it. However he had quite a coughing fit when he got up this morning, and we (that's me and his fiancé Katrina Stewart) have decided he's not going in to work today. He's changed into his pyjamas, but, like most Veronavillians, they're not very substantial. Maybe one of the family can go to the shops and buy him something warmer. My usual way of dealing with Sims who aren't well is to keep them at home, give them plenty of rest, often bed rest, and get somebody else to cook their meals for them. Zack has slept well overnight, so he's just relaxing on the bed just now. He spent the night with his fiancé Katrina, so, if it's infectious, she must be at high risk. She's the adult daughter of Jake and Brenda Stewart, who are running a new garden centre / plant nursery in Monopolis, a fast growing suburb of Veronaville. Zack only moved in with them yesterday.

I haven't seen any messages about him being ill, but I've been preoccupied with taking photographs for @Justpetro's contest, so I could easily have missed them. Is there any way (including SimPE) of getting a diagnosis of what's wrong? I'm afraid it might be 'flu. (I wish we could call a doctor; that would be a good mod!) If we think it's infectious, maybe the Stewarts should keep the garden centre closed, to avoid it spreading into the wider community.
