If you haven't noticed any issues by now, I'd think 8 years should be well within the "tested and appoved" area

I use a folder called "Hacks". Not particularly snobby with what I put into it - if it mods game behavior in some way and doesn't fit better anywhere else (poseboxes, DRs, food, etc.), and is potentially likely to cause trouble at some point (if put in/removed, or another mod wants a say), it gets chucked into there. It's sorted roughly by creator/site, unless it's just simple files.

I also have a "Test" folder in there, but I must admit some items haven't gotten out of that folder because if they work I kinda just forget they're there until the next time I find a new mod to test, and then remember I was supposed to test the last one(s) (Some of mine are probably in the 8+ years area, too )

Yeah - my folder is called "Hacks" too.
Actually - it is "zzzzHacks", and it is sub-foldered by creator/type: DRs, !Pez, BO, BUILD-must-haves, Moo, Simler90, zMidge, etc...

My downloads folder looks like this:

Most are sorted by creator. However za.Careers has everything dumped in a single folder and renamed (e.g. FT-Charity Organizer 4t2-S2I - full-time, career name, creator name). And zb.Hacks is folders of hack depending on what changes (e.g.. computer, fridge and meals, adoption) so it's easier to find them to resolve conflicts. The two "crap" folders are foldered by the package I got them from.

I've decided that the main hood in my BACC is a little... well, big. I prefer smaller lots and the spaces between the roads are too big for my taste and leave a lot of wasted space. Is there a way to change the main hood? Could I move them all to, say, a business district and then change that to the main hood, or is that a recipe for disaster? I know I could make clones, but I'm worried about losing memories, family relationships, graves, etc and I don't want to bork my game.

I did this for a hood once, moved all the sims to temporary houses in a subhood, then made over the main hood with Mootilda's Hood Replace, then moved them back. It worked fine, just make sure you backup everything before you even think about it!

Do they have to be in houses in the subhood or could I just leave them in the sim bin?

Also, this shouldn't effect townies in any way, correct?

You can put the families in the sim bin while you're changing the houses or redoing the hood.

But I just leave them in their houses and place all the lots back in a more orderly way when the map is created, then redo the map once again to cover up the holes where the lots were pulled from.

I've done that numerous times-never hurts them at all. Townies never come into the equation when done like that.

And that won't cause any issues with the community cemetery?

No. I've moved my church cemeteries in Tinsel Town, and Arundel repeatedly-and it doesn't affect them. As long as there are graves and gravestones on the lot, (and you've never moved them from that lot) they stay there.

However, that does mean that when you play a residential lot again for the first time, it might pull references to tokens in the memory from the bat box debugger from Pescado.

You can easily check them with the bat box under the 'nuke options' at the top of the pie list on it-'global urnstone tokens', and that will wipe them out but not affect anything else. The graves remain in place.

Same as when you visit a cemetery without a pixel visiting. Just a memory for the neighborhood that can be dispensed with.

I don't have the bat box, will this cause problems if they're not deleted?

No, they won't, that I know of but this question raised the issue:

However, there is a very pretty vase that is the batbox and it's got exactly all the same options. I run it in Arundel because it's medieval and flowers look pretty anyway.

That's much prettier, thank you. I hated having that godawful ugly one in my game.

BO's No Sim Loaded will get rid of those. https://www.leefish.nl/mybb/thread-1665.html

That makes sense. I hadn't thought of that.

What is the fastest way to gain Fitness hobby points? Hecuba Albion has wanted to reach the top of the Fitness hobby for several rotations, but I can't seem to get her to the top.

I just stick them on an exercise bike with a Snapdragon bouquet close by. That way you can keep them going until exhausted, sleep rinse and repeat.

You should be able to remove them and re-save that Sims2Pack. No idea why they were there in the first place, unless you have some kind of hacked wardrobe/ shopping rail?
