Both Martin's and Hans's hair are from this beautiful set of male hairs by teru_k here on MTS, which I downloaded on my 17th day as a Simmer. Most of their clothing pictures in my post #86 above were taken in their house and garden, many of them in the main bedroom where they keep the wardrobe which they all share. I think they show the general old-fashioned ambience of the house which has many "period features", even inside. It's clearly a historic building, and the Moltkes have been reluctant to make any significant changes to it. (Eastside Veronaville is an official historic conservation area, and you need special planning permission to make any changes to the exterior of the houses.) I'll try to take some more general views of the interior, plus floorplans, and I may just add them to this post, rather than double-post.

Julian paid for the swimming pool, with part of his share from the Monopoly Game Town contest. The boys entering that contest really transformed the finances of both the Jones and Moltke families; before that both families, especially the Moltkes, lived rather and to mouth lives. Gloria in particular is determined never to forget where she came from. Financial success has not and will not change her. She loves her little house, full as it is of historic charm and so many happy memories. Love will always be far more important to her than money. Vivo d'amore!

[EDIT] @simsample : Here are the pictures you asked for.

So I've been playing the Moltke family in this house for very nearly thirteen real years without lighting on the upper floor!! Does that amount to cruelty to Sims? I think the truth is that, without a lighting mod, there is just too much ambient light at night in The Sims 2. I know it's a very old house, but it's a fairly good quality house (no distressed floorboards) and I really would he expected electric light to be installed in a house like this in the 1920s or '30s. (My great grandparents' house was built new in about 1910, and originally had no electric light. It did however have good quality gas lighting downstairs [using incandescent mantles, which are almost as bright as Edison/Swan tungsten electric bulbs]. However for some reason they didn't want gas upstairs, so at night they had to carry candles up to the bedrooms.) Maybe some previous 20th century residents at 100 Via Veronaville, thought the same way as my great grandparents!

I can see more lights than just the bathroom one. What are the paired lights?

Maybe people didn't want gas upstairs in case there was a gas leak while they were asleep.

Thanks for the pictures @AndrewGloria It gives me an idea about what colours the Moltkes like, but they have very little in the way of decor! I'll see if they can afford a karaoke machine, they certainly have the space at their new digs.

By the way, last time I played the Jones family, both Garry and Gloria rolled wants for a baby. In my games, if both parties in a couple want babies, I generally grant their wish (unless of course they already have more kids than they can manage!). Have they ever rolled these wants in your game?

I added lighting to the other upstairs rooms just before taking the pictures. If I hadn't it would have been much harder to see what else was in the rooms! By paired lights, I think you mean the wall mounted pairs of candles shown in the downstairs pictures. They're called Antebellum Wall Lamps and at 360 Simoleons they're not cheap. As they are now, with Martin and Manuela both in well-paid police jobs, they could afford them easily, but if I had spotted the lack of lighting years ago (when I should have!), they would undoubtedly have gone for much cheaper light fittings. In thee early days, when Hans was a toddler, they were living on benefits, which I simulated by using Kaching whenever they ran out of money.

Your probably right about gas upstairs. Traditional coal gas contained a high proportion of carbon monoxide, and was very poisonous. And of course gas still brings with it the risk of carastrophic explosion.

I am surprised. Neither of them has ever wanted to have a baby in my game. They seem focused on their careers and of course on woohoo! In my game they just seem to get typical Romance Sim wants, which in my experience include wants for friendship with other Sims, many of which are never likely to turn into romantic relationships. These are their curent wants in my game:

Gloria's Wants
Be Friends with Priscilla Hand
Be Best Friends with Toni Forth
WooHoo with 5 Different Sims
WooHoo in Hot Tub

Garry's Wants
WooHoo with 5 Different Sims
Be Friends with Felix Busley
Be Best Friends with Carl Marks
WooHoo (with anybody)

Priscilla Hand is an adult townie Romance Sim who intends to move into a communal house with other female Romance Sims, so they can offer each other mutual support (including if necessary with childcare). I believe Gloria may have lived for a while in such a commune when she was younger -- maybe when she was in her teens. Despite the spelling of his name, Toni is a gay Romance teenage boy, who lives with other similar boys in a shared house in the Via Veronaville. Felix Busley and Carl Marks are both townie colleagues of Garry in the political career. None of these are remotely likely to become sexual or romantic partners of Gloria and Garry. Both Gloria and Garry see wants for romance (especially woohoo) with multiple partners as temptations which they believe they are strong enough to resist. But they would both be tolerant if the other one made a "mistake". They know they both experience such temptations. Moreover Garry has an occasional relationship with townie Trista Shaw, who is a manager in Garry's political party. Gloria doesn't mind what Garry and Trista do together if it helps him further his political career. He wants to be Mayor one day, but for the moment he is helping Senator Kerie Hanby in her campaign for that position.

As for their immediate wants, woohoo in the love tub in the garden will be enough to keep them both in platinum. They both have constant woohoo wants, which they fulfil with each other, so they're generally both in platinum aspiration. But I've never consciously seen either of them have any baby wants. They never even wanted to get engaged or married. Their marriage was more Andrew's idea, as he doesn't want his mum to be alone, when he eventually goes to university with Julian. (He wasn't really interested in university until Peni Griffin filled his head with tales of how much fun it can be!!)

Have you given them secondary aspirations (which I don't have)? I can see the point of giving Gloria a Family secondary as she's obviously a very good mother. ("The best mum in the world" according to Andrew.) I'm not sure about Garry; in his choice of friends, he seems rather career focused. I wondered about a Fortune secondary, but I believe that he has gone into politics for the difference he hopes to make to society, rather than as a way to get rich quick.

So, all in all, I'm a bit surprised that they want a baby. It would likely disrupt Gloria's career as a sports star. But if that is really what they both want, I don't want to stand in their way. After all I didn't stand in Andrew and Julian's way when they both decided that they wanted an "open" relationship. I even put in a "no jealousy at all" mod to make this possible for them.

I just see this morning that there 's a new thread about Sims having mid-life crises. Is that perhaps what up with Gloria and Garry?

I wonder if it is something to do with the aging being off (I have Inge's patch ) and them being newly initialised in-game? I noticed that sometimes sims of all aspirations get a baby want after a child has just aged up, so perhaps it's something to do with that (all sims are at zero days in their age stage), or another mod I have? Anyway, next morning they had more usual wants (woohoo and so on), and Martin and Manuela have now rolled baby wants! I thought it was funny though as Gloria is obviously very career-oriented!

I have to admit that I'm curious to see what their baby might look like. They might want to wait until Andrew and Julian go off to Uni though; it's already quite a full house!

I'd be quite interested to see what Gloria and Garry's baby might look like too. The nearest that they've ever got to it, is that once she bought and used a pregnancy test kit, thinking that they might have made a mistake. It's not that impossible -- most days they have woohoo at least once -- often multiple times. It is possible that I might click on Try for Baby instead of Woohoo. I had actually heard something that I thought might be be "the lullaby" -- it wasn't!

For their part Manuela and Martin (both family Sims) used to have regular baby wants, but between them they haven't had one for years. I think they gave up trying when I never said "yes". But they really had their work cut out looking after the three offspring they already had, and money was very tight then, when Hans was a toddler and they were living on benefits. They were also handicapped by having to work with a very inexperienced player, who hadn't a clue how to look after toddlers or babies!

@pinkdynamite : After four and a half real months in Veronaville, Väinö Mikhailov is finally getting ready to return home to Portland. All being well, he should be coming home this week, accompanied by his cute new boyfriend Iain. Hopefully it will be today or tomorrow. I've got all the clothes that they've bought here, sorted and packed ready to go. They're hoping that they'll still be able to wear the clothes they've bought here when they get to Portland. After all they've spent a lot of Simoleons on them!

There are a few little complications: Most of the CC clothes they've bought are "townified" in my game, which means they can appear on newly generated townies, and playable Sims can grow up into them. Now I appreciate that you'll probably not want that in your game. So I have been "de-townifying" the ones I'm sending to you. Wardrobe Wrangler has a button to townify an outfit, but to de-townify it, I have to manually edit its Property Set in SimPE. I'm fairly confident I've got most of them right though. Let me know if any of them give you any problems.

I have a couple of issues with their Formal outfits:
Väinö's on the right should be OK. It's a clone of a Maxis base game shirt paired with a pair of grey shorts from Simphany.com. Both are separates that I have made available as Formal as well as Everyday. In my game they are both townified and quite a lot of teenage boys generate with this (and some slight variations on the theme) as their Formal outfit. I wondered if you might like it left townified in your game, as it's quite a respectable looking outfit, and the top at least is Maxis. However, as you are playing a BACC challenge, I think it's probably best if I de-townify it. Let me know if you want it left townified (so Sims can grow up into it. The important thing is, if you (or I) townify 1 part of it, you must townify the other part. i.e. both shirt and shorts. Otherwise you run the risk of a Sim generating with an abdomen and no legs, or vice versa. Iain's outfit is more problematic. It's a Castaway native everyday outfit that I have also made available as formal. I removed the warpaint. The problem is that, as shared by Tarlia/meetmetotheriver, its mesh is contained in a huge file along with lots of other native Castaway clothes. So if I give you this file, these other clothes are likely to appear on Sims generating in your game. Castaway items are by Maxis so they don't get the CC star. To give you Iain's outfit without all the other stuff, I have have to extract the mesh from the big file and put it into a separate mesh file containing nothing else. I think I can do that but I've never done t before. So I'll send you Iain without this outfit, and send it to you later once I've got it to work. As a stop-gap, to use as his formal outfit until then, I'm sending you a nude top (with a watch!) that you can pair with Väinö's shorts. To use formal separates, you have to "buy" them in Everyday, but then you can "plan" them as the Sim's Formal outfit.

I've really enjoyed having Väinö in Veronaville, and I think a lot of my Sims have enjoyed meeting him too. I'm pretty sure he's enjoyed his time here too. But, as Dorothy once said, "There's no place like home!"

@pinkdynamite

I believe Väinö and Iain are with you now. I attach some pictures of them in the outfits they were last seen wearing in Veronaville.

Iain and Väinö in their everyday clothes. They are just arriving at Sims gone Wired in downtown Veronaville. Both are wearing Maxis tops. The bottoms are both my own conversions from full body outfits to separates. Väinö's shorts are based on a full body outfit by NewSea Sims. Iain's are based on a full body outfit from a Korean source that I can no longer find. The original version has the mouse-over tip "Daum-Naver". There is more about it in my post #34 earlier in this thread; Julian often wears the same shorts, which he's had in his wardrobe since the Year Dot.

Väinö and Iain in their underwear, dancing together at PaintBoyz, also in downtown Veronaville. Iain is having difficulty keeping his weight down. Most patrons here strip to their underwear! It's the PainttBoyz dress code!! The other boys in this picture are Gregor Sullivan from Monopolis (a Veronaville suburb) on the left, and Ken Yates (seated) and Don Ng (dancing with his clothes on!) on the right. Don is the illegitimate child of the late Jon Smith Tricou, and the half brother of Ravi Bertino. Ken, who works in the textile mill with Iain, joined Iain and Väinö on this outing.

Iain's rather feminine panties are skuldilocks Ruffle Undies for TM and AM. These seem to be based on a female outfit by somebody called lemonlion, who is no longer around on tumblr. CreeSims has made a separates version for males. Väinö's undies are my own, vaguely based on Lissa's teen conversion of adult male swimwear by amaryll. The tie-side detail I got from female bikinis on Simphany.com.

Iain and Väinö in their nightwear. Most of my Sims rarely wear their PJs as they usually sleep in underwear. They tend to only wear them on a sleepover if sharing a room with a comparative stranger. Since I took this picture Iain decided he would like a skimpier nightwear outfit. See picture below. His PJs in this picture are from Simphany.com. Väinö's shorts are from this Teen Male Collection of Spandex Shorts by Kamyk here on MTS.

Iain and Väinö in their current swimwear. Iain's striped swimbrief is the teen version of the ones worn by MartinMoltke. It's a swimbrief by Suza on simplystyling.de, now archived on Liquid Sims. Väinö's is from figs's "Youth of Today" collection of teen swimwear in pooklet neon colours. MrsM'Quve made a version with sexyfeet. Both are recolours of a swimbrief by Cloud Nine here on MTS, which I've had since my earliest Simming days.

Väinö and Iain in their athletic outfits. Väinö is teaching Iain to use the trampoline, which Iain hopes will help him keep his figure. Christopher Melvin, their adult friend and lodger built the small swimming pool for them for the same purpose. It has has just occurred to me that Väinö's little loincloth won't work in your game, for the same reason as Iain's formal green kilt; it's a Castaway item, and it's mesh is in the same huge file as the kilt's mesh. I'll try and extract the meshes for both of them and send them to you. In the meantime I suggest Väinö uses the same spandex shorts that he uses as PJs.

Here is a picture showing Iain wearing the alternative formal outfit that I suggested in my last post in this thread. It's the same shorts as Väinö wears for formal, paired with a nude top which includes a wristwatch. I think I used a nude top by drachenfels on Sexy Sims as the basis for his top. I won't give a link as technically it counts as adult content. I could just as easily have recoloured a Maxis vest top. I think I got the wristwatch came from a simplysyling.de swimwear outfit. To dress your Sims in these formal separates, you have to buy them as Everyday, but then use "Plan Outfit" to select them as your Sim's formal outfit. (The same thing works for separates in all categories other than Everyday. You don't need a special mod.)

Here Iain has changed into his new PJs. It's my own teen conversion of a Squirgle/Knightskykyte "Pretty Boy" outfit.

I'll edit this post to add further details and credits for the CC used, but I hope this is enough, pinkdynamite, to help you to get them dressed. I'll also post about the adult CC clothing I've sent you for when they age up. Sorry this is taking me so long.
