Default Tutorial - Apartment building with Buzzlers NPC door mod
Making structured tutorials isn't my strong point, but I'm giving it a try. I made this video while building an apartment complex and there is a few things you need to know. I would suggest making a floorplan that can be changed to fit the balls requirements, not the other way around.

1. You need Buzzler's Make NPC door fix here to make apartments this way. I will try the EA way later if I get the chance.
2. Only 8 apartments max, that's included the active family apartment.
3. NPC's doesn't need anything, not even a bathroom. It will just add to the price.
4. I'm expecting you to read this ancient tutorial because I can't tell you all the traps in this apartment building, some of these old tips may still apply. It also saves me the trouble of making all those pictures
5. You don't need to bother with mail boxes.

6. Some cheats you need:
Restrictbuildbuyinbuildings false/true. This is needed once you put down the balls and have to do changes to the building to make the doors work.
Buydebug on/off: It will open a catalogue in your Buy, sort by function. Click on the question mark and search for the balls.
7. The house needs one outside entrance door on the ground, or first floor probably. It can be in the courtyard as you can see in the video. From the house in the video I know it could not be on the second floor.

How to use the markers:
1. Public silver Basegame markers go in all rooms to be shared by the people living there, and on the ground. The public marker will go into all outside balconies as well, some reports saying that's a good idea.
2. Hidden markers also Basegame goes in only the NPC apartments, in all the rooms.
3. The active family apartment will not have any markers.

The EA way of doing this requires a fence with a gate and then a door to the apartment for each apartment in the complex, and apparently the max 8 applies there as well.

In the video Ylva goes in the door I had to use as entrance door and into the diningroom set with a public marker, she also looks in the laundry room and test the washer and dryer. They both works for her. If the NPC will use them though is a different question. They do use bathrooms if there is any and sit on the couch watching tele, use the magic mirror in this house. From previous attempts I know they also use pool tables in public areas.

Just as a last little tip, I didn't see anyone move in, but they lived there just the same. This is a dead world though. It's Stranda DIY, only Ylva living in that house.

The music is a bit high on this video, just turn it down below the video itself in the left corner. Click on Youtube to get a bigger video with more options.

I loved the tutorial, the only question I have is: will the NPC's apartment be enterable? I mean, if someone lives there and I want to be invited in, will that work? Thanks.

That I'm not sure about, you may have better luck in the thread I posted above.
