Default Is there anyway to disable the Woohoo cutscene?
I mean, the one that plays whenever two sims woohoo for the first time. I dislike seeing it. It makes me feel VERY uncomfortable, especially if there is someone else in my room! However, I do like the other cutscenes. I used to play with all the cutscenes(special event camera) disabled just so I could avoid the damn woohoo one. But now that I reinstalled the game, I realize I really like seeing the other ones. So, I was wondering if there is a way to disable ONLY the woohoo scene, or replace it with a blank screen or something, if there is no way. I really don't like to see it.

You could just disable your special event camera when your sims are about to woohoo & then re enable it after they're done.

I have ACR. I never know when they are going to do the thing. It surprises me all the time...hahaha

I am asexual and damn, my sims seem to be eager to compensate for me.

I feel your pain - I love the cutscenes, and for the longest time, when I had a crappy computer, I wasn't able to see them as the option to enable them was greyed out. So since I got my shiny new computer I never tire of watching them - only problem is, my Sims always pick the worst time to get it on, and there's nothing like a room full of people and a Woohoo cutscene to announce to everyone "HEY SHE'S WATCHING SIMS SCREW EACH OTHER". Aaargh.

If you disable your special event camera and then when something major is about to happen you could pause your game and re enable it.If it gets to the time where it comes on randomly I just press the windows key and pretend I'm looking for a sims mod.

I am doing that now. However, I am mad I missed a marriage cutscene because two sims decided to woohoo for the first time at the same time. So the woohoo one played instead.

I swear, they are deliberately trying to annoy me! (not really.)

This.
So damn awkward when I use to live at home and my desk was in the livingroom with 4 younger siblings running around. Still awkward now when I'm sat on the sofa next to my boyfriend and suddenly my Sims decide to do the nasty - but he knows a sims gotta do what a sims gotta do. Most times I just turn to him and say "welp, my Sims have decided to woohoo again... what's going on in [whatever game he's playing]?"

You can disable the woohoo cutscene just for casual woohoo with the ACR controller. At least you can do that with ACR 1.0, I don't know if that has been carried over to 2.0.

This is from the documentation for ACR 1.0:
Quote:
Ā„ Cinematics…
o There are three possible settings, Normal (default), Always, or Never. Normal will only show the woohoo cinematic the first time, always will always show them, and never means just that. Only affects casual woohoo. If the cinematics are turned off in the game options, this setting will have no effect.

You can disable it for ACR interactions in the ACR menu. So then you'd be safe as long as you only ever make them woohoo using ACR.

I also find it quite cringeworthy. And if you minimise to desktop, the worst part is that the sound pauses and keeps playing when you get back to the game! So you get the cheesy porno music and the giggling etc.

Also, not every sim is going to grab their partner's ass and make a grrr face when woohooing. That's embarrassing sometimes (and not sexy, to me at least). At least it's only for the first woohoo.

And exactly, for the first woohoo! Surely they could have made it a bit more awkward, like the first kiss. But I guess they only added the "very first woohoo" thing in one of the later EPs (which lead to a really weird thing where sims have memories of "Did woohoo with X, Y and Z" and then suddenly "Had very first woohoo!" Like they are born again virgins

I find the WooHoo cutscene especially works for the Pleasant family. Right after it ends, in comes Don Lothario (I usually force him over with the cat teleporter just before they WooHoo and right after Mary-Sue gets home from work, so it's double the fun), angry at Kaylynn for cheating. Once Mary-Sue gets over her aspiration failure, she comes running in as well. Without the cutscene, Don just rushes in and screams at the covers mid-WooHoo (seriously, that's about as disturbing as the midnight hobby instructor break-ins to see WooHoo in progress!).

I wish I were Asexual. Sometimes I feel my sexuality takes over... lol

Anyways, I think its possible to disable it if you edit some of the settings files in the Sims 2 folder... but I don't know for sure if its possible to disable them one by one. You might just have to sacrifice the cutscenes and disable them all.
