This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default SimPE listboxes empty? (Traits, turn-ons, BV collectibles)
I'm trying to assign tropical vacation mementos to BV tropical locals, because custom-made ones, for whatever reason, don't default to knowing everything about their culture.

Under Sim Description, there are several tabs to choose from. Under Nightlife tab, there are Traits, Turn-ons, and Turn-offs listboxes, where you get to tick the items you want to apply to your Sim.

There's also the Voyage tab, with Collectibles (aka vacation mementos).

All four of those listboxes are empty in my SimPE. Anyone got any clue on resolving this?

My guess is that you have UC :D

This happened to me when I had UC too. I'll tell you what I was told and that is you need to make sure that the files are pointing to their right place. Because of the way UC is set up, the mixin of EP's and SP's instead of singles as they were made, SimPE doesn't know this so it doesn't know where to look for things.

With that said, I could never get them pointed to the right place so I gave up and went back to my disks when I found my missing one. I do believe that there are many players who use UC and SimPE with no issues so don't get discouraged just because I gave up :D.

I do have the Ultimate Collection! However, I checked the settings, and it turns out that all lines point to the correct directories:

These are also correctly set up (the bottom part of the window):

The checkboxes in the upper part of the window do concern me a little. Why are nearly all of them greyed out? I have all of that stuff installed, apart from Life Stories, and Pet Stories. (I also don't have Store Edition installed, yet it's ticked (but greyed out) in the settings.)

I'm able to install the disc-version TS2 on my old desktop. Which EPs do I have to install? I was thinking only BV and M&G (the BV for editing the collectibles, and M&G for the game version). Is this okay, or do I need to install them all?

My custom made locals work fine (made with argon's townie brick), but I have the disc version and not the Ultimate Collection. So I have no idea about UC issues, but if your locals were not functioning properly even prior to installing UC, how did you make them?

I had older non-functioning locals from an older neighbourhood (they didn't autonomously hula, chest pound, and such), and they got fixed after I summoned them to a regular lot, turned them into locals again with the townie brick, and now they work fine.

Yes; the culprit was me not having the townie brick. I used the in-game NPC & Townie Maker, which always made them stupid, and it made no difference even after giving them collectibles and tokens that original BV locals have.

When I started over and made those Sims locals using the townie brick instead of NPC & Townie Maker, they functioned like normal locals, and no SimPE intervention was needed.
