Do you find the EA career choices far too limiting for your Medieval Sims? I know I do -- which is why I'm making Medieval themed career mods!

This is a rabbit hole career, not an Active or Work from Home profession (although I would like to include those features in the future). Let's break the career down:

PRIEST (Full-Time, Young Adult-Elder)
Priests provide wisdom for members of the community and have a special place in society. They preside over baptisms and weddings, and are a source of philosophical education. Priests are in charge of ensuring that religious occasions and events are observed, as well as performing the final rites to the dying.

Some objectives require Spa Day (meditate) and Discover University (Research and Debate skill), but the career will work fine without them.

Level 1 - Faith Scholar
You are a student of religion and one dedicated to philosophy. Long days are spent at the church reading core texts and praying.
Pay: 1/hr
Days per week: MWFSS
Shift: 4:00 am - 10:00 am
Objectives: Finish Reading 3 Books, Reach Level 2 Logic Skill

Level 2 - Doorkeeper
As an assistant to the clergy, you usher parishioners as they enter and exit the church. It is your job to maintain a positive attitude to welcome all who wish to attend service.

Level 3 - Acolyte
You are an altar server, one who assists by carrying a processional cross, lighting candles, and holding the holy book and torches during worship. Down the aisles you can be seen swinging a censer or thurible, carrying the incense boat, or handing out offerings to ushers. You may also be expected to assist a deacon or priest set up and clean up at the altar.
Pay: 3/hr
Days per week: MWFSS
Shift: 6:00 am - 2:00 pm
Objectives: Reach Level 3 Logic Skill, Reach Level 3 Charisma Skill

Level 4 - Lector
Working your way up to the clergy, as a Lector you read sacred texts, apart from the holy book, during worship. You are up to date on all readings and sermons planned by your priest, and you know when to offer assistance during services of all kinds. A Lector is licensed to lead non-sacramental worship (including, in some cases, funerals) and may assist in the leadership of sacred text study.

During service, the Deacon's responsibilities include assisting the priest, proclaiming the sacred text, announcing the General Intercessions, and distributing Communion. You may also preach the homily. As clerics, Deacons are required to pray. You may also be asked to perform baptisms, lead funeral rites, and preside over weddings.

Branch 2: Jacoban Priest
The priest of the Jacoban faith. Being the head of the cathedral, Jacoban priests can absolve Jacoban Sims of sins, comforting the Sims by giving them The Watcher's Absolution.

Jacoban priests are deeply attuned to their deity, Jacob. They can use their touch to heal and grant Protection of the Watcher. Instead of praying, Jacoban priests focus themselves by reflecting on the Watcher. They can sacrifice their energy to bestow the Watcher's Blessing on another Sim. Jacoban priests can also consecrate water.

Unlike Peteran priests, Jacoban priests don't write with the Watcher or evangelize in informal public sermons, but can nail various proclamations to the proclamation board outside the cathedral to alter the level of fear and change the behavior of Jacobans.

Level 5 - Shepherd
As a Shepherd of the Jacoban faith, you may sermonize at the pulpit, absolve Sims of sin, and convert others to your faith.

The priest of the Peteran faith. Being the head of the monastery, it is the Peteran priest's job to conduct multiple sermons a day. One must be popular with the audience, as a Peteran priest earns donations to the monastery from parishioners after every sermon.

Peteran priests are very studious and spend much time pouring over the sacred texts. With a tendency toward Evangelism, priests are under pressure to spread certain messages dependent on their relationship with the current monarchy.

Level 5 - Friar
The Friar spends most hours of the day studying the sacred texts and praying. You must possess a warm attitude with all Sims you encounter in hopes of converting them to the Peteran faith.

**Much research went into this career to make it era appropriate. Descriptions, objectives, pay rates and shifts are meant to reflect historical accuracy.

The Clergy branch is based on the institutions of Christianity in the Middle Ages, not the current system of said religion. The Peteran and Jacoban branches of the Priest career are based on the careers from The Sims Medieval, and the images used for both come from TSM's wiki.

I opted to use the traditional masculine titles for these careers, as those were more commonly used during the Medieval era. Once I figure out how to include the feminine titles (Shepherdess, Deaconess, etc.) into this mod, I will update it.

LANGUAGE: Only English for now, but if anyone would like to translate, go for it and please let me know!
