Hi everybody!

So, I wanted to branch out a bit from the Pecs series I've been working on, which is why this upload is different from the usual stuff.

This is an Outfit-to-Bottom conversion of the Swimming Jammers from the 'Surf's Up Sun and Fun Collection', from The Sims 3 Store.

I hated the fact that EA made these shorts into a full body outfit, rather than a bottom CAS part/item. This upload fixes/rectifies that!

Original EA Presets with the new bottom morph/mesh:

Front:

Rear:

Channels:

Now, you can pair it with any top, or just leave your male sims shirtless!

Important note (or disclaimer?):

Original Store Sets are not required for these to work.

The reason for this is that Store content has messy GEOMs/LODs resources. (Thanks, EA! ?) So, in this case, in order for me to be able to modify a Store item's morph, I have to clone a Base Game or Expansion/Stuff pack clothing item and then replace everything in it, from mesh to textures, taken from the original Store item. This is done using TSR Workshop.

This took for ever to get to work properly, mainly because of obstacles and roadblocks EA set up in their Store Sims3Pack files. Fortunately, with the help of some tutorials and Lyralei over at the Discord, and after so many trials and errors, I finally got it to work! Woo!

There are two versions available, as follows:
  • 'Swimming Jammers_amBottom_mmaa': Outfit to Bottom conversion.
  • 'Swimming Jammers_amBottom+CmarNYC bulge_mmaa': Same as above, but morph is modified to include CmarNYC's 'You've Got a Package!' bulge morph: http://sexysims.info/download.php?t=173305

    Thumbnail Glitch:

There is a glitch with thumbnail of the 'Swimming Jammers_amBottom+CmarNYC bulge_mmaa' version. It appears harmless as the mesh works fine in CAS and during game-play (in-game?). If anyone knows how to fix it, let me know and I'll try my best to rectify it and update the uploaded file(s). Thank you!

In case you have any glitchy thumbnails, just delete the CASThumbnails.package to reset them, for them to show up properly.

    Important note (or disclaimer?):

CmarNYC's policy, which can be found on their profile page, states that others are allowed to use/incorporate their work into new content, with credit!

So, credit goes to you, CmarNYC! Thank you for the incredible bulge morphs!

By the way, just as a suggestion (hehe!), these shorts would go very well with any of my Developed Pectoral Muscles shirtless morphs, based on alex_stanton1983's original male nude top mesh morph, which you can check out at TSR:

Important note (or disclaimer?):

alex's last post was in 2011 according to his profile, so I hope he doesn't mind me using his mesh morph as reference. Credit goes to him!

CASTable (two channels) with EA's premade presets, available under Swimwear and Athletic, which are the original categories from the original store package. Base Game compatible.

This was done using TSRWorkshop, Meshing Toolkit, S3OC and S3PE.

Polygon count:

LOD1 (High): 504 vertices and 770 faces
LOD2 (Medium): 348 vertices and 484 faces
LOD3 (Low): 219 vertices and 276 faces

Tutorial on how to check poly-count in TSRW, for reference: https://sims3tutorialhub.tumblr.com...ounts-of-sims-3

I have tested it in my game and it seems to work fine for now (see photos above), aside from the thumbnails issue with the 'Swimming Jammers_amBottom+CmarNYC bulge_mmaa' version. However, please feel free to test it out in yours and provide any feedback. Kindly note I'm still not an expert in meshing/morphing; still learning and getting the hang of it...
