Oh good. I'll check it out. That section is pretty dead, these days. It can take awhile for someone to respond.

I really have to tip my hat to Exnem for their bucket of chicken. I wasn't expecting it to work or look as nicely as it does. Mostly, I expected a generic piece of chicken (perhaps a drumstick) and a generic bone left over after the sim finished eating. So far, my sims have pulled out a drumstick, a thigh, and a chicken wing. All three had visible bones in the half eaten piece and all three left behind bones that corresponded to the chicken piece once they were eaten. I know it's not a huge thing, but it's really cool to see that attention to detail in a custom item.

I'm not saying you're wrong but the necromancy posts that consists of 'oh yes, me too' we could do without. The guideline, it seems to me, is there. If you're adding something useful, then raise the dead by all means. If not, well, don't.

Not everyone reads site rules. Yes, technically you should, but you should also read the instruction manual for things you buy yet how many out there do that? I do, but that doesn't mean I feel the need to get angry at people that don't. It's just how most people are built. Easier to accept that and work with it. And yes, I agree it's unnecessary to bring back a post to say "oh yes me too". But my point is that I don't think getting snarky about it solves anything. Nor do I think getting annoyed by it helps anyone, yourself least of all. There's always going to be new and/or inexperienced people who make mistakes like that. Telling off 50 isn't going to stop the next 50 from doing the same mistake. Might as well just laugh it off and be glad we still see new people post.

Last night I had a bizarre dream about the Sims 2. Well not the entire thing; part of it involved setting up a fish tank made of cardboard with rather predictable results. Then I reloaded the world. But then in my dream I ended up in some sort of party in TS2 and I think Matthew Piscaso and Julien Cooke were romancing in the closet instead of making food. Cyd Roseland was there too but he was wearing a dress. Then all the food burned up so I found a phone and ordered a pizza and the pizza box came out of the phone and Don Lothario crawled out of the pizza box and began wooing a bunch of female Sims that I couldn't make out the faces of.

To the poster above; where's the button for "too odd"? Did YOU have pizza before going to bed?

I said it once, and I'll say it again. I wish there was a 'WTF' button for some of these posts.

Uh oh! My social bar is low - that's why I posted today.

I've had bizarre dreams as long as I remember. This is actually one of the more sensible ones.

Yeah, but then it's your fault if the thing blows up on you because you didn't read what not to do.

You could try suggesting that to Delphy in Site Issues. Mind you, I think he's probably thought that himself on numerous occasions.

I think MTS is actually pretty great about enforcing rules without being too harsh. But then, I remember the old days of sim sites and when I lurked on places like MATY where posters could get eviscerated if they 1. Didn't read the rules 2. Didn't read the rest of the thread/use the search button to see if their question was already answered 3. Had a spelling mistake or grammatical error. I can't tell you how many times I was reading a thread to get some info and saw some poor soul pop in to ask a question only to have everyone basically shame that person into never posting there again, not even bothering to link to site rules, let alone the spot where their question was answered. Ah, good ol' MATY. To this day, I always try to read a thread from the beginning before posting, unless it's like 300 pages long.

But anyway, if we're talking buttons, I usually need a "solidarity/sympathy" button for those posts that tug your heartstrings, but it's kinda inappropriate to click "love." Like when some simmers talk about something personal, like an illness for example, and you don't wanna click "love" because you don't love the fact that they're sick--you just want a button that says "I feel you/I'm with you/I'm thinking of you, etc." I need a button for all that.

That's often how people use the "love" button on fb, though there's also a "sad" button there, which I suppose would also be helpful for situations like the one you're describing.

I think of the love button as being a kind of virtual hug.

Love button ... heh. I mean that one there.

That's interesting; I think of the love button as a stronger "agree," more akin to "that's awesome." But now that you mention it a "hugs" button would be perfect.

I take the love button to mean that the comment the person has made has touched your heart in some way, whether it's about someone's life circumstances, like an illness or a tough obstacle, or maybe a story that's not just funny, but sweet, too.

I think the meaning of the "love" button depends on the context of the post. Like if someone posts something funny, it means that it's really funny, or if someone posts something sad it means "I'm sorry about that sad thing."

I swear this game makes me seem like a child with no self control. 845 more items in the downloads yesterday. What? It's a kind of beautiful sadness. I think I just heard my computer cough. But oh boy, wait til' I start building!

This all started with a window, then I had a terrain paint obsession relapse. Be careful out there... At this rate, I'll be in the threads very soon...

The fridges must be bolted to the floor in live mode - otherwise, they would've fallen on the kids and teens who were playing with them.

I was working for the whole night on the download page on my simblr and I won the fight with CSS and Javascript not working like I wanted, and now I have a nicely animated page, so yay! Is 11 AM still late or already early time to go to sleep though?

I had a folder named 'New.' Its where I put all my downloads just in case my game starts to glitch I can narrow the issue down easily. Then after a while I put the files in their respective category.

Well....a lot of time passed and now I have the 'New' folder still full of files and a 'Newest' folder where there's also soooo many files. I should organize it someday.

I had a go at my AwaitingApproval folder about a month ago. Shifted a lot out of it.

Still a lot in it though.

Definitely have that problem, too. I have a folder called "testing," that in theory I could just take out and test things out in a no cc game, but I never do because it's so time consuming. Some cc is easier than others to sort (for me at least). I know right away whether I want to keep hairs or clothes and I can tell whether I've used a mod or not. But the objects and recolors... Those sit around all the time, waiting for me to go through each set, figure out which things I want, which things I think don't look good, which colors I want, etc.

I've spent a whole day doing that before. Definitely not fun and why i usually just play with a bunch of junk in my folder.

I tend to add new things into new folders to organise them later. I have so many new folders now...
