Not necessarily a mod/hack but... jdfade's compressorizer updated to play nice with 64bit. As far as I can tell, there's no way to make it work without probably rebuilding the thing. I've tried everything I could find on it, and I've talked other other people on 64bit and they can't get it to work either. I really miss the feeling of crunching down my cc for better load times. :/

Funny you say this, because I downloaded the compressorizer and it works for me. I am on 64bit as well.
But..I started using the Wardrobe Wrangler, to add flags to the outfits I am testing now..and once passed through the WW, they get smaller in size as if it also compresses the files...
Original recolor files were 2.051kb each, I had 2.
After WW, 279kb & 501kb
I only added 2 flags and hit save.

Yes, that's one reason to use WW.

that sort of thing was what I was referring to in post 6239; and kind of in post 6251.
edit:: some Blizzard games have something similar; at least Starcraft1 and Warcraft3.

Here are some beautiful, Victorian style hot air balloons: http://www.parsimonious.org/furnitu...r_Balloons.html
I haven't tried them. You probably can travel in them like the helicopter. Also, I don't know if these are NPC based or not. But they might give you a foundation for what you want to build. Is there anyway to turn off the 'copter sound using SimPE?

@SiMelissa - I posted the same link a few posts before but I think it got buried. They just go up and down. They don't appear to be NPC-based.

Ack! I didn't see your post. No idea how I missed it. Sorry 'bout that.
I think those Victorian balloons are gorgeous! I'd love to one day put them in a neighborhood as some sort of carnival ride.

I wish there was an option to have bedridden sims. I have realistic sickness and it's really important for them to stay seated or in bed. Yet, between the constant coughing and barfing, they will somehow find the strength to pillow fight with each other or play catch or swing their children around. Sigh...it would be so much easier if I could just send them to bed and have them stay there. It would make it easier if they died that way as well. It would just make more sense than stopping swinging their child around, to grab their throats, reach out helplessly, and die theatrically in front of the happy, dizzy kid.

I wish there was a mod that allows one building to be residential and apartment. You could rent a part of your house. or move a sim in a regular house, and then move another sim in the apartment of this house.

Similarly, I wish there was apartment roommates for residential lots. Instead of halving the rent, they'd probably pay you so much a week.

There are plenty of mods to remove fury from sims, but I'd like a way to make a sim furious with a particular sim and have options to set the intensity/time of the fury (very angry, slightly angry). If a sim A does something that I think should make sim B to be angry, the only way I've found to have sim B become angry is to have sim A use insult or fight interactions on B, and sometimes that's not appropriate for the sim or possible because of age differences.

But..the sim blender has options about relationship no? or is it the sim modder...would it suits your need?

Those have the option to remove fury, but I haven't seen an option to add it. I have used them to lower relationship instead but it's not the same.

I don't think any of the three main tools (InSim, the Blender, and the Manipulator) have the option to add fury. I don't know if everyone just overlooked it or if its just not possible.

some suggestions that have been in my mind for some time::
pool lights be able to share squares with the other pool objects; like they could before Nightlife.
there also be pool lights for the bottom of the swimming pool.
also wall/fence types that could be placed within a swimming pool. and doors/gates for those walls/fences.
objects that could be placed in/on swimming pool. one possibility could be a pool ball.

light sources that sims could walk on. floor light; floor/ceiling equivalent of window; floor+ceiling light (bottom of upper floor and top of lower floor).

neighborhood's day/night toggle affect the starting time of newly moved-in households.

If I recall correctly, fury is a token and not just a flag. So I would imagine it's wasn't included because it's more complex than the other types. It needs to remember who by, and it needs to start the counter counting down time until fury passes. Definitely doable, but more complicated.

Creations can be found on my on tumblr.

1. Being able to walk home, even if you arrived on the community lot in a taxi (and vice versa). In lieu of that, a generic "Go Home" pie menu option that'll automatically either send the sim to a payphone to call a taxi, walk home, or send them to the car to drive home.
2. Some way to deal with dishes that pile up on community lots. Maybe self-destruct them?

It doesn't let you set intensity, but I believe you can make a sim furious with another using testingcheats mode? Enter the "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" cheat code, select the sim you want to make furious, shift+click on the desired target of their fury, and there's a "make furious with this sim" option (might not be the exact wording, but it's something similar). I've tested it before & it seemed to work, although I've got no observations on how the fury decays after use.
