Oh that reminds me of this post I saw once. A girl, back when she was a teenager and before she realized she was gay, had created a sims neighborhood entirely full of lesbians. Lesbians with kids, "best friends" living together, gay celebrities chilling by the pool...it was a lesbian paradise. Except for the one man. The way she put it was something like "imagine being the one straight guy in an entire city full of hot women yet all p***y is off-limits because your malevolent sapphic creator is working through her issues. I'm sorry Dave."

It's in my BACC hood so the population is still fairly small, but I've been letting ACR handle the gender preferences and so far there's only two gay adult males, one gay teen boy, and one bisexual female. Looks like I'm going to have to either step in and change some sims' preferences myself or increase the settings on ACR. Probably both. Is your Veronaville accepting exchange students?

That would be kind of cool, actually. Make copies of the sims who need partners and send them to the other player, then if they find someone they like send a copy of that sim back to their original player.

This is a fantastic idea! Sounds like one of those reality dating shows where they ship them off to an exotic location and see who ends up together.

There is a Sim replicator by Christianlov on this site, where it makes an exact physical copy of of the sim but the details are different and you can pick out the name like a baby's:

If I understand it, Christisanlov's mod creates a clone of the Sim within the neighbourhood. So it will give you 2 identical Sims in the same 'hood. The cloning I'm talking about is done in Body Shop, and I mainly use it to produce a Sim with no connections to their old neighbourhood that can be used in Body Shop and CAS to create a new Sim, typically for use in a different neighbourhood -- or for sending to another Simmer, which is what we are talking about here. I am currently writing a sort of mini tutorial on how I export, clone and package copies of my Sims for sharing. Realistically it's likely to be tomorrow before finish the tutorial. When it's finished I'll post it in the Finding a way that some of my Sims might outlive me thread.

But in principle @pinkdynamite I think the gay teen from your game will be very welcome to come and join the gay teen community here in Veronaville. I'm sure some of the boys here will be glad to welcome him. Could you possibly post a brief profile of him (with a pic) so they have some idea what to expect. Hopefully he'll be back with you soon with a new boyfriend. I should probably warn you that quite a few of the gay boys here are Romance Sims. I wonder how you'd feel if he came back to you with two boyfriends! [?}

This just reminded me of SimPort from The Sims 3. I remember thinking that it's such a dumb feature, who'd like to send their Sims off to someone else's game? But lately I'd really like to share my Sims and have some of yall's Sims in my game as well!

Regarding the "exchange program" @AndrewGloria I just noticed that he is due to age up to an adult this round. Do you think he could find a nice teenage boyfriend that would be willing to age up with him, or is there an adult male looking for a boyfriend instead? (Since I know you like to keep your teens as teens.) I lost one of my gay adult males to old age and now there's only one left in the hood (until he ages up). Unfortunately it's his uncle so there's no chance of a relationship there.

I think I've found somewhere vaguely suitable for him to stay when he's in Veronaville. It's with a gay couple Micah Vincent, and Noah Hatherley who live in Greaves Avenue in downtown Veronaville.

38 Greaves Avenue isn't a big house, but it does have two double bedrooms, so your boy will have a room of his own, with a double bed where he can "entertain" any friends he picks up. Micah and Noah are a mixed age gay couple -- Micah is a fairly young adult (not a YA!), while Noah is still a teen. I don't exactly encourage such relationships, but I do allow them. Noah is Romance and Micah is Popularity, but acts like Romance. Both I think would be open to another relationship, but, though I don't [yet] know him, I really don't think either of them would be suitable for your boy. However they both have friends, including interesting townies, and there a several gay or bi teenage boys living nearby. There are gay clubs nearby and the whole area is a centre of gay culture. Let's just say his prospects of finding prospective boyfriends (both teen boys and young men) here must be quite good. I'm pretty sure that there are more gay teens than gay adults in the male population of Veronaville. If your boy has had a fairly sheltered background, he may find some aspects of Veronaville gay culture a bit sleazy, but learning to cope with that sort of thing is probably part of growing up.

I hope we may see your boy here soon, but, if you fear that my boys are likely to corrupt all your boy's good morals, I do understand. (Many many years ago my late grandmother, as a girl or young woman, was strongly advised not to go and see a performance by the famous Scottish singer and comedian Harry Lauder [who died in 1950 at the age of 79]. She was told, "He'll corrupt all your good morals." She did go and see him, and I'm pretty sure it didn't do her any harm at all!) Whatever you decide though, I'll understand.

Good memories, I had so much fun with simport! I remember teaming up with some people from the old N99 forum and swapping sims, and some from the EA Sims 3 forum too! It was great seeing Sim Sample get booed off the stage in other people's games.

If simsample, or anyone else I share him with, wants to send him to uni, that's fine by me. Provided I don't die suddenly first, I still intend to send him, but I still don't have a university attached to Veronaville. There are also things that Andrew still wants to do as a teen, like get into Toby Bertino's private school, and then tell the pompous pratt exactly what he thinks of him and his snob-school! There is also the minor detail that over the years, Andrew has spent thousands of Simoleons on teenage clothing, much of it of the "barely there" variety. It will cost him a small fortune to build up a similar wardrobe of YA/Adult clothing. I think I might download that cheaper clothing mod that someone uploaded recently! Andrew spends far more on his clothes than I ever spend on mine. (Our taste in clothes is quite similar.)

I have a custom hood with custom sims I kept thinking about their political views, who would vote republican or democrat. I look at my wealthy family (husband is a wealthy tech bro and the wife is a fashion designer) and think that they would definitely vote for Trump for lower taxes and worship Musk. The wife would probably be classist and wouldn't care less for the enviroment. I have an artsy family and I definitely think they would be socialists, enviromentalists, buy everything thrifted and care about their carbon footprint. If the game had functional bikes they would be definitely biking. One family is definitely giving Christian values but very stylized, sort of like those family vloggers. I imagine them nit being very tolerant if you know what I mean. The last family are definitely punks who would attend every protest, similar to the artsy family but more aggressive. So yeah, my neighborhood is pretty polarizing.

Well, I doubt that he'll ever age to an elder, so he has plenty of time to amass an Adult wardrobe.

Becky Flores has now achieved perma-platinum. Her lifetime wish is to graduate three children from college. She is in college herself, living with three friends. Who all just finished a year but I am not sure that Becky should take credit for that.

"oh no crap its him" Lucio and Overdone Zanni were both stargazing at the same time. The alien abduction cut scene started and I was hoping it was Overdone since she wouldn't come back pregnant. It was Lucio and he did come back pregnant. I used ACR's morning after pill option since I don't want alien babies this generation. The whole point of re-starting was to avoid extra households.

"Turn that bloody TV off" It annoys me that they just walk away without turning it off. The noise when they are watching the TV also does my head in to the point some families don't have a TV or only for specific tasks then it gets put back into an inventory or deleted.

"That is going to suck with a Fortune Sim" Hecuba Albion is a Fortune Sim with the LTW of getting 100,000 simoleons. When I originally moved her into a house with her husband one of her wants was to join the athletic career. At 5 days to elder she reached the top of the career but it only has a three day work week with the rest of the week off. Since she is always rolling wants to go to work I decided to put her into a different career where she went to work more often.

Of course I've been talking to Micah Vincent and Noah Hatherley in downtown Veronaville telling them that a gay teenage boy called Väinö Mikhailov will be coming to stay with them at the weekend. (By coincidence it will be their weekend as well as the real life one.) I've asked them to look after him. I've told them that his parents are entrusting their son, a boy in his late teens, on the cusp of adulthood to them. Even though he's hoping to find a boyfriend in Veronaville, I've reminded them that they'll be acting in loco parentis, so it would be "inappropriate" for them to try to seduce him.

Before I said any more, Noah reassured me, "Don't worry! We'll look after him. He'll be safe with us."

I've also promised them some extra money to cover any expense. I know Micah and Noah are not very wealthy. (They do have nice Biblical names though. I wonder if they'll take him to church on Sunday. Most of the regular congregation there are gay.) For those of you who haven't seen them already, I've posted their pictures in the Male Sims picture thread.

"Of course they would roll that" The exact moment Bassanio and Portia became elders they rolled the want for family member to get engaged. Their son Valentine is a sophomore in college and so far hasn't rolled the want to get engaged to Silvia.

"good he rolled it himself" when I loaded Valentine's dorm I was planning to have him propose to Silvia. After I filled his want to do research he rolled the want to propose.

"Will you please stop rolling the want to encourage your daughter" Queen Thebe has multiple wants to encourage her daughter and also family member gets married. Nothing I can have Queen do herself since Andromache is in college. I get annoyed with Family Sim wants that the Sim themselves can't do.
