Here is a dining set I've been working on lately, inspired from the formica tables and chairs that were a staple of every modern kitchen in the 60's and 70's. I grew up with these around at my grandparents and relatives' houses. The style is based on designs and patterns that were popular in France, which appear to be quite different from their american counterparts (hence why the original in-game furniture never resonated with anything I know irl). Versatile color choices, simple design and sturdy structure make for timeless pieces, and after falling out of fashion formica has been making a come-back on the second-hand market in recent years. So this set not only will fit the mid-century style kitchen of your elderly sims, but also won't look out of place in the flat of younger thrifting enthusiasts.

The set features two tables, a 1x1 and a 1x2, two chairs with different backrests, and a stool. The metal legs and tabletop are two separate recolorable subsets, and all items borrow their textures from the 1x1 table, which is the master mesh for this set. The tabletop comes in 8 different textures: 4 linen laminate textures in buttercream (default), coral red, ice blue and mint green, "arctic" and "ebony" black and white
laminates, and two wood grain imitations in natural brown and white. The legs (and matching drawer handle) come in metallic grey (default), black and white.

Since this set uses the repository technique, make sure the 1x1 table is in your downloads folder or the other objects won't display the textures properly!

Policy:
Recolouring, converting, including in lots, extracting and messing with the meshes, improving, or whatever you'd like to do with them, is allowed, as long as you keep it free and give credit.

Polygon Counts:
