Want to go swimming but the open ocean is just too cold? Sharks got you down? Tired of getting seaweed in your hair? If you answered yes to all of these questions, then Diamondbar Delta is the perfect place for you! The neighborhood's shallow inlets keep the sharks out, and the water at a toasty summer temperature. We can't guarantee you won't get a stray piece of seaweed or two, but it should be easy to spot and avoid in these crystal clear waters.

Diamondbar Delta is a neighborhood made specifically for the beach lots included in the Bon Voyage EP. Each road fronting on the water will accommodate a beach lot - assuring they do fit is about as much fun as poking yourself in the eye (repeatedly) with a dull pencil, but I somehow avoided this temptation and made it so.

Thumbnails for different terrain types have been included in the zip, so no picture taking from you is necessary unless you really want to. The file should be unzipped into \My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\SC4Terrains.

Note: To be able to fully utilize the available property, a camera mod such as GunMod's Camera Mod is highly recommended...or else you're going to end up with mostly land and not many beach lot ready areas.

Comments, suggestions and random thoughts are always welcome. Enjoy!

Important (tenative) information for beach house downloaders!

People are having problems with custom neighborhoods and some downloaded pre-built beach lots not fitting (I've tested with my own and other people's custom beach neighborhoods, my own and others' downloaded beach lots) - here's what I *think* is going on:

If you download a house originally built in a 'hood with a beach (road) that is LOWER than the neighborhood you are trying to import it to, it will not fit. Maxis 'hoods tend to have very low beach roads, most user created 'hoods have higher roads (SC4 being the PITA that it is). This means that you will probably have issues trying to place houses built in "stock" neighborhoods on custom ones.

If you download a lot that is built on a beach (road) HIGHER the one you are importing to, it WILL fit. This means that most beach lots build in custom 'hoods will fit in Maxis hoods, but may not fit in other custom 'hoods if their beach level is higher than your original build site.

Unfortunately, there's really no way for you to know what neighborhood the houses were built in unless the uploaders state it in their posts.

Tenative information/discovery until I can mess with it some more, this is just what seems to be true from my own fiddling. ::sigh:: I really wish there was a more accurate map-builder than SC4 to do this in. Will update if I figure anything else out.
