Updated: 18th Sep 2022 at 5:54 PM - UPDATE 5
UPDATE 5: Instead of adding +125/+75 to bills for living in a high-class/middle-class lot, now the mod increases your bills by 20%/10% for living in a high-class/middle-class lot.

UPDATE 4: The mod is now compatible with my new Utility Mod. This doesn't change anything about this mod, I simply deleted a reduntant resource that I had included in the mod.

UPDATE 3:
- Bills are increased by an extra +100 simoleons per each community lot or vacation home owned by the household that is worth 500000 or more, by +50 if its worth is between 100000 and 500000, and by +25 if its worth is between 50000 and 100000.
- Bills are increased by +125 if the household's home is high-class, and by +75 if it is middle-class.

UPDATE 2: I have changed the way the mod works quite a bit in this update.
- Instead of increasing the bill amount by 750 for living in Downtown, your bills are increased by 50%.
- When calculating the business tax for your sims' OFB community lot businesses, the tax is now increased by +25 for each shop rank above 0.
- Each owned vacation home now adds +100 to your bills.

UPDATE 1: Instead of using multipliers and divisors to increase the bill amount for living in Downtown, now the game adds a set amount to the bill amount. I've set it to 750. I have also updated the Tuning section below, so that you can change the amount to a different number.

ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION

In an unmodded game, where your sim's house is located has absolutely no effect on their bills. For example, whether the lot is in Downtown or not has no influence on the bill amount. In addition, there is no such a thing as business tax in the Sims 2. So, you may own 20 OFB business lots in Downtown with a large number of customers, but you don't pay anything extra to support that business.

I don't like any of this, so I made this mod that adds more checks and features to the way the game calculates your bills. Here are all of the features:
- If the sim's house/apartment is in Downtown, the bill amount is increased by 50%. So, if your bills were 2000 simoleons, they will be increased to 3000.
- Bills are increased by +125 for every non-Downtown OFB Community lot owned by the household.
- Bills are increased by +250 for every Downtown OFB Community lot owned by the household.
- Bills are increased by +25 for each shop rank above 0.
- Bills are increased by +100 for every vacation home owned by the household.

Tuning:
- If you want to change how much bills are increased for living in Downtown, then click on the resource "Create Bill", find the line that says "Temp 0x0000/=Literal 0x0002". The bottom number, which is set to 2, is the divisor the game uses to divide the original bill amount, which is then added to the original bill amount. So, if your original bill amount is 4000 simoleons, and if you set this to 4, your bills will be increased to 5000 for living in Downtown.
