Update LogsUpdate 3 - 2026\5\24
- Tea table added
- Not exactly an improvement, but drinking tea has been made to restore Energy instead of Hunger.
- Drinking tea warms the drinkers up, moreso than chocolate. PlantSims gain extra Water.
- Drinking tea now costs money on non-residential lots.

- Expanded customizations in the 2 BCONs, such as allowing tea to restore Hunger again, reduce Bladder penalty, and enabling tea upkeep on residential lots.
- Error caused upon trying to place the "Chinese" serving tray while using jonasn's Eat "Chinese" Food Fast as Lightning mod has been resolved.

Update 2 - 2026\4\22
- Furthur enhancements to the zen garden
- Chatting while raking the zen garden is animated now as each raker will take their turn talking.
- Visual change is now gradual and applied to all quadrants, with Environment score bonus per each stage.
- Slightly faster stop raking animation
- Files have been separated for each object enhanced, as to accommodate more objects in the future updates.
Update 2.1 - 2026\4\23
- My Multipurpose Array Object has been added to the Lucky Shrine download, which is required for the "locks the Aspiration bar" blessing to actually function.
- I somehow forgot to include it since the release version!
- The version from my School & Work Friend Choice mod should still work, however.
Update 1 - 2026\3\8
- Minor adjustments in case part 1 is uploaded.
- Blessing choices on community lots are now disabled by default.
- The tokens have been properly named and placed in _Shrine, to better support finding them with jonasn's Memory Commander.
- Ninjas! always get the no result properly.
DescriptionThis is part of my Better Bon Voyage mod that will enhance some aspects of vacationing. Part 3 covers objects brought by said expansion pack, starting with the lucky shrine and the zen garden. More objects may be enhanced in future updates.
The lucky shrine has been enhanced with more diverse results - different blessings between community and residential lots and introduction of the very bad results for extracting agony... Far less unfair randomness, as the Aspiration bar is the primary deciding factor on the results.
The zen garden has been reworked entirely, starting with how most of the garden can be walked over. Raking the garden is made a group activity, where multiple Sims can chat together. The raking progression is gradual and applied to the whole garden, and no longer prevents furthur raking once completed, so as to allow its Want to be fulfilled more readily.
The tea table is now a method for replenishing Energy, instead of Hunger. If Seasons is installed, drinking tea will warm Sims up, moreso than even chocolate, and PlantSims gain more Water. Sims are more thoughtful before they autonomously drink tea - they need to be less fresh and with enough Bladder. Otherwise, it has more customizable BCON, such as for disabling the tea cost and restore the Hunger replenishment.

Lucky Shrine
_Object_Shrine
- Aspiration level dictates the results.
- More result types, and different blessings between residential and community lots
- Very bad results for Sims in the red
- Longer timeout as the blessings are substantially better than before.
- Autonomy for tourists and Sims in the red
Good - Residential
At least high green is required and can be encountered on a dormitory or an apartment.
- Banishes ghosts automatically for 24 hours, and can stack up to 72 hours
- Cures all diseased Sims and cleans up all disease markers, ongoing fire, and cleanable food
- Locks the Aspiration bar of the blessed for 24 hours, effectively negating the decay
The 3rd result always need my Multipurpose Array Object to function.
Good - Community
At least high green is required and can be encountered on a hotel.
- Guaranteed chance to dig up a secret map
- A rain of 2,500 Simoleons that restores Fun and does not drain Comfort.
- Guaranteed success for the next career chance card choice within 7 days, in addition to boosted job performance, and school or college grade
The 1st and 3rd results last until their conditions are fulfilled. If a Sim is blessed with either result again, then they will get either an uncomfortable rain of Simoleons, or a bag of coins to the head. 500 to 1,000 Simoleons are still earned this way, but the latter can be lethal on low Energy, Comfort, or Aspiration.
No Result
Quite likely for both low and high green, and even on gold, Sims are most likely to get no result.

Bad
Can happen on high green or lower Aspiration bars
- Chased by bees; cancelable
- Poisoned by poison ivy; cancelable but lasts for a few hours
- Forced to vomit; Servo will run amok instead.
Very Bad
Red Aspiration bars are required.
- An electric shock that drains a skill point and can be lethal.
- Loses relationship with a random Sim or pet, who will then irritate the cursed.
- A fine of 4,000 Simoleons, or a bill on residential lot

- The 3rd blessing on community lot, the "guaranteed success for the next career chance card choice" result, will be spent once the chance card choice is made.
- By default, the blessing is unbalanced as it can be used with multiple chance cards for as long as its duration is active.
_WishingWellBagRevised
- Made to be in line with the excess good shrine result
- On a failed wish, 500 to 1,000 Simoleons can still be earned.
- If the result is more than 700 Simoleons, Sim will get a rain of gold that drains Comfort and Fun.
- Otherwise, Sim will get a bag of gold dropped on their head, which will drain Energy as well and can be lethal on low Energy, Comfort, or Aspiration.
Zen Garden
_Object_ZenGarden
- The garden no longer blocks path and can be walked over any time.
- Grooming is a group activity, and multiple rakers will chat with each other and even those viewing the garden.
- Grooming can be done no matter the progression level, so as to let the Want be fulfilled any time.
- Grooming yields Cleaning skill, if moderately so.
- Grooming progression is applied to the whole garden, with 5 visual stages as opposed to 2 stages.
- Grooming progression is gradual - 25% stage looks less complete than 75% stage.
- Grooming progression boosts the Environment score of the garden per each stage done.
- Sims will move to a free quadrant from time to time.

The garden has its buy price increased to 4,500 Simoleons, to boost its Environment score.
Tea Table
_Object_TeaTable
- Drinking tea restores Energy instead of Hunger.
- Drinking tea warms Sims up significantly.
- Drinking tea gives extra Water for PlantSims.
- While seated, Sims regain Comfort.
- Autonomy improvement, with Sims having more restraints before and after drinking, to avoid Bladder issue.
- While using jonasn's Eat "Chinese" Food Fast as Lightning mod, attempting to place the serving tray will no longer lead to an error if a tea table is present.

- Tea costs money outside residential lots.

- More customizations, such as re-enabling Hunger replenishment, higher Energy threshold before quiting, and disabling tea cost.
- If made to restore Hunger, drinking at full will fatten Sims up.

The tea table has been recategorized to Kitchen -> Small Appliances and given more motive scores display.
IssuesConversing while grooming a zen garden together can be somewhat unreliable.

About Me
Mod update logs can be found on the main pages for mods updated from December 2025 onwards. Otherwise, they are always in the comment sections. Bold line indicates an important fix or a big feature. Some updates may be stated to be non-essential.
I prefer to modify and expand upon other people's contents, since I'm no artist. I will ask content creators still active first, but I'd love if they actually ask me to help out. I also like mods and objects that add more to gameplay (and modify them to add even more!) since everybody else has been making fixes.
