Apologies for the double post, but it's been a couple of days, so I hope it's all right.

There's been a big scandal in Pleasantview: a divorce in the Goth family. For some time now, Sheri (Pleasant) Goth has been feeling bored and unfulfilled as a housewife and mother of three, stuck in the gloomy old Goth Villa with her aged in-laws. She has been amusing herself by having little affairs, first with Buck Broke and then with Forrest Ruggbyrne, the brother of her old rival Coral. It’s very exciting to be out with one of her lovers, never knowing if a Goth might spot her and spread the news back to Gibson. Truthfully, Herb Oldie is the one she’s pining for, but despite Sheri dropping little hints when the gang of old friends gets together, Herb seems to be stubbornly committed to married life. Sheri thought things at home might liven up after Gretle and Samuel died–after all, Gibson did agree to put a hot tub in the back yard–but now he’s talking about having yet another child, which is the last thing Sheri wants to do.

Spoilers over the little scene I wrote with Sheri and Forrest...

Some sweet pics are attached of Sheri and Forrest together.

Gibson was extremely angry about the scandal and the hit to the Goth name, but a part of him was perhaps relieved. For him, too, his marriage had been a sham, despite his three beloved children that had come from it. Now with Gretle gone, maybe he could also think about living the life he had always wanted: a more adventurous, daring life. And was it possible that Diane might look at him differently, now that they were both older and he was no longer married to her sister-in-law? Well, he could hope and dream, couldn’t he?

At Jennifer Pleasant's birthday party, Sheri and Gibson were at each other's throats. And I didn't personally witness it, but Diane has a memory of making out with Gibson for the first time sometime during the birthday party! I only got a picture of Diane farting hearts at Gibson while he and Sheri were taking turns slapping each other. They have always had three bolts together, but nothing has ever happened between them before now, and I don't know if Diane would leave poor Jeff. They've had a good marriage, and he's basically clueless about Gibson and Diane.

Real life gave me a little slot to play sims 2 today, so I went to the Rossetti siblings, Emerson and Feven, in Kalmvik. I was hoping Emerson would roll a want to get married to the townie woman who's in love with him, but no. She rolled the want to marry him - thanks, Savita, but I kind of guessed that already. He kept wanting three different skill points and being saved from death instead, so I left him to his skilling and focused on Feven instead. She is a pleasure sim and tends to want dates and playing on couches and things, so off she went on a date at Zane's with her latest crush Teckman Donatello. During the date they used the photo booth for their own nefarious purposes, and I flipped coins to see if they'd try for pregnancy - I'm now up to nine coins, and seven of them said they'd try, and they succeeded too. Towards the end of the date, they both wanted to marry eachother. I let them do it. Then they got home and Teckman wanted to give his new wife a backrub, but Some Idiot clicked wrong and had him break up with her instead. When their twins were born I had just got the parents on speaking terms again. The Rossetti household is now: Uncle Emerson the engaged man who refuses to marry his fiancée and never meets his new brother in law because they work different hours, Feven the giant baby who's fundamentally uninterested in her children, Teckman the almost eaqually uninterested dad, and then Jazzspeaar and Blaeklynne. Good luck to them, I'm moving households!

If you have the mod to break up anytime, Break up is on the pie menu next to Appreciate, which you select to Back rub. I have made the same mistake!

Well, the day is finally here that I have been waiting for in my beginning of Pleasantview, which is when Flamenco Caliente and Nighat al Mahmoud turned into adults and finally got to get married. They've been waiting for it, too, the whole time they were teens. No wedding party--they just got married in the kitchen.

In my story, Flamenco was kept hidden by his parents out of fear of prejudice and reprisal because he does look alien. He was home-schooled and not allowed to leave the house except to visit the Calientes' neighbors and closest friends, the al Mahmouds. (Tariq al Mahmoud's first wife died and he remarried Frida Goth, Gunther's sister.) That is how Flamenco met his future wife, Nighat. When he became a teen, Flamenco would sneak out with his brother Tango at night, and that got him noticed. An arsonist actually attacked their house once after they snuck out, but no one was hurt.

When Flamenco became an adult, the Colony Drone visited him. He had been searching for him for a long time. The Colony Drone asked Flamenco and Nighat to come live on their planet, where they could raise their children without fear. The couple talked it over and accepted. So Flamenco got on the telescope that Colony Drone had given him so I could take a picture...and he was abducted. The first time in eons that my game decides to have an abduction, since Cornelia Goth! Nighat was already pregnant with the twins, so now they are going to have three babies all at the same time. I can barely handle twins, normally.

I wrote a little scene about Flamenco and Colony Drone, which I posted on my thread in the What's Going On In Your Game (TS2)? social group. Also, some cute photos of Flamenco and Nighat (and one of Colony Drone) are attached.

Thanks!!

The massive bluffs on the south bank of the Simourris River are now clearly visible from the low lying north bank. The Bluffs are the dominant feature of the landscape here. If this were real life, only thick fog over the river would hide them. It just seemed ridiculous that my Sims here couldn't see them. I don't need a camera mod after all. That little tweak does the job for me. Now I should maybe do something about those levitating trees!

(@simsample [off topic]: I've now added the pictures you asked for to my last post in the Finding a way that some of my Sims might outlive me thread.)

Waiting since they were teens and you didn't even give them a wedding arch and let them dress up?

A number of teens of is ready to go to uni when I play the next round.

During the spring, there were several vacation trips, a lot of house parties, even more group outings, family trips to the pond and the roller skating rink and teens playing music on community lots.

The fun sim went on 23 dates (all of them with her hubbie, all dream dates) and while she wants 50, she has reached permaplat now

It was a busy week and a helluva lot of fun

And there are still no hood decor in my hood

I'm in the midst of the expansion of Arundel, where there are a lot of babies waiting to be conceived and born, elders finally reclaiming their lives.

I now have (as opposed to just 20 households when it started) 46 active families, with lots of drama in some.

Jeannette Greene aged up, retired from her job, moved out of her house (where twin male teenagers are the noisiest pixels in the universe) and joined the convent. Her ex-husband then moved into the house when his oldest son begged him to-even Gilbert can't cope with his teen brothers as he works every day. Thankfully the twins will grow into YA's shortly and hopefully they'll mature a little.

Amy Klein moved out to a new house and is devoting all of her time to becoming Queen. Her son, Charles, bought a new weird looking thing called a telescope for his son and decided to use it. This resulted in him being abducted by aliens and terrified his family. However, he now wants to do it again!

He's only asking for trouble, I know. Arundel might yet see the first alien species baby yet. That will be quite the event!

Michael Bachelor got Deedee Dreamer in the family way while they were at university. He graduated, but she had to drop out. He got a lecture from his father Simis, but Michael didn't want to get married, and Simis didn't want to make him. Simis remembered having a nervous breakdown on the day of his marriage--he thought his life was over. Michael and Deedee had only just met; it was carelessness on both parts. Simis said it would be fine as long as they paid her child support and Michael didn't let his mother find out. Simis then took Deedee out to lunch to make sure she wouldn't cause trouble for the family, but Deedee also had zero interest in getting married. Simis ended up getting a little crush on Deedee. Fortunately, one of his lovers happened to walk into the restaurant, so Simis was able to fulfill his want for public woohoo without seducing the future mother of his grandchild.

If you had a ton of couples to marry you should have had a mass wedding. XD

Just when I finally had more time to play, my laptop gave up on me. But since I've known it was coming, I had time to back things up and save both the game progress and some of the projects I've worked on. It's really annoying though - I had a neighbourhood set up for taking calendar pictures in, and some sims ready to be in them. I doubt I'll get a new computer to play on for a while, we have other stuff to lay our money on right now. I'll be here enjoying reading about other peoples' games though!

For now at least- he cooked chilli and didn't burn it! Which was a pity, because I installed new sprinklers and was looking forward to trying them out!

You're just saying that because you know I'd fill it with giant gnomes!

(But really, you don't have to stop playing if you wanted to do that- you could send a copy to someone, and they could decorate it and return it to you, and you copy the hood deco over to your current copy with Hood Replace).

Thank you I appreciate it My game is just so much fun at the moment and I don't think my sims have noticed that their hood is not decorated. First time I get to the 3rd generation without putting any hood decor down. Then raising twins and their offsprings take time Sooner or later, I may feel like it, who knows?

Certainly too much "Nectar" here on my end. haha.

Would love to offer my hand at nhood decorating. I'll toot my own horn and say that I'm amazing at it. Just give me a list of what can/can't be used and let me go! :P

Tonight I was playing the Buckingham residence in Arundel. They have two boys-the younger one, Hugh, grew up to teen, and rolled a want to "Become King"!

This is the first time any male pixel has actively rolled this particular want, and I find it historically not only amusing but ironic at the same time. The women usually roll it as "Become Queen."

The Dukes of Buckingham were at one time intermarried with the royal family:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duke_...am_and_Normanby

Of course my timeline is all off by hundreds of years. The house that the dukes built eventually landed in the hands of George III who bought it as a retreat for his wife, Charlotte: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckingham_Palace

I'm afraid that the Buckingham house is not for sale and that even if it were, they'd have to do a lot of renovations to it!
