2016-03-05: Updated with Polish translation.
2016-01-26: Updated with French and Russian strings.
2016-01-06: Updated again with Dutch and Chinese strings.
2016-01-01: Updated with some added translations (German, Italian, Spanish, and Brazilian Portugese).

You need to download foods-custom-interactions from this thread (if you don't already have a pudding-enabled version from the Two Soups thread) in order for it to be available in your game -- otherwise your sims will have pudding but no way to actually prepare it, which would be kind of cruel. The interactions also include the “Make/Serve Dessert” options on the screenshots.
The pudding does not require any cooking skill or ingredients, it’s really simple. Tagged as Dessert so it should fulfill the “Prepare a Dessert” whim that sims can apparently have (I’ve never seen it in my own game though, I only saw in the XML that it exists at all). Available anytime in the “Cook Custom Meal” menu, and between 11AM and 2AM in the “Make/Serve Dessert” menus; 6§ per serving.
For technical questions on custom foods see this thread in Create.
