This is a requirement. This mod will not work properly without it!

Introducing a new social event for The Sims 4: Date Party! A hybrid of going on a date and throwing a house party. Like with a normal date, the main goal will be to socialize with your date, but now it’s been mixed with the House Party! You can invite guests, and you’ll have house party goals to complete as well as the dating goals.

This mod adds two types of social events: Date Party and Premium Date Party. Premium Date Party is more difficult and requires all the goals of both the date and house party to be completed to get a gold medal, whereas with a normal Date Party it goes at the same pace as regular events and you’ll only need to complete some of the goals.

The rewards are the same as with a normal date. The events are mainly just for fun.

  • Event screenshots are in a format that is not yet moddable, so the mod uses the default House Party screenshot for both events.
  • "Date (Actor)" and "Date (Target)" appear in the a less desired order, and I’m not sure if and how this can be fixed. Don’t worry, since "Date (Actor)" can only contain active Sims, you don’t need to worry about accidentally putting an inactive Sim as the actor.
  • It is not possible to have the dating Sims change to an outfit specific for this party, since outfit types are linked to role types. The version of the mod you choose only effects guests, which is possible to choose from as "guest" roles for both Party and Formal exist in the game.

Mod Not Working Properly?

Some people have reported that XML tuning changes don’t work in their game. If this is the case for you and the mod isn’t working, you can use the unpackedmod solution.
  • Edit the “Resource.cfg” file in your Mods folder, and add the following line to the end: DirectoryFiles unpackedmod autoupdate
  • Download the unpackedmod version of the XML file for this mod. (Please Note: The .package file is still needed for the text strings which are for the social event dialog)
  • Create a folder named “unpackedmod” in your Mods folder and extract the archive into there.
  • Open the subfolder containing the version of the mod you want, move that into the main “unpackedmod” folder and delete the other two subfolders.

Since this mod only creates new files and doesn't override existing ones, it shouldn't conflict with other mods. However, the mod that this depends on may conflict with other mods. See the description of that mod for more information.

This mod has been tested with patch 9/9/14.
