Thank you for you entry.

I hate to have to be the judge who asks for other pictures, but can you take larger overheads? Keep the ones you have but then move in closer to the actual room/rooms being shown as well, if that is okay Cat? @CatherineTCJD My eyesight is not the best unfortunately and I can't make out the rooms clearly enough.

For example:

I just took your image and clipped it to show you what I mean. I don't want you to clip it, just move in close with the camera in game and take a second shot. It would really help me avoid eyestrain.

YES!
There is no limit to floor plan pictures - make sure you show everything, and close enough for the judges to see.
If they can't see it properly, they can't judge it properly.

From the OP/rules:
Mandatory screenshots:
1. The front of the lot
2. The back of the lot
3. An image from above showing the complete lot
4. A floor-plan image of each level, taken from above and as close to the building as possible.
(Extra shots are allowed - whatever it takes to clearly show the floor plan to the judges.)
5. An image showing the lot size and price.
6. You are allowed 20 extra images to show off your work.
If your screenshots are not meeting all the requirements, the host will let you know and you can submit other pictures before the end of the round. No extra time will be allowed though, and you may lose points if you don't have all the required shots in on time.

Let's go!

Popping some champagne seems a good idea right now. Welcome to our host, with the Orange Rule (Don't use it) - our Judges (thank you, all of you) and our contestants, both the new and old (vintage?) ones!

The bar is open!

Okay first of all thanks Catherine for hosting. Thanks judges for judging. Thanks all other for taking part.

If you remember I started with "Waaay, No! I won't do this" These were about Beladonna Cove house where arches reminded me fish scales. But then I switched to another house with same arches. It got no similar fishscale facade pattern unfortunately but theme as you guess right there is nautical.

Default Entry - The (Un)Crack(ed) House
Edit: - A default floor edge was still lurking around in my downloads folder. I removed it and I think I replaced all the relevant screenshots. Apologies if it caused anyone any inconvenience!
Edit - fixed a floor tile in the kitchen (thanks to Phantomknight)

- No CC
- A few shrubs may not be reachable, but the majority (perhaps all of them) of plants used around the pond is not seasonable (?) and no pruning or raking leaves should be needed. I tried to make sure that sims can reach the trees that drop leaves.
- I think all objects are usable.

Welcome to the Uncracked House! (Fixed?)

It now has 2 large bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a nice kitchen, open plan living and dining room and a garage. The Pond has been redesigned (you may even be able to catch a fish there) and a swimming pool (with diving board) was added. The house is fully furnished too - what a great investment opportunity this will be!

(My contractor said he has let the light in, tried to bring nature close and he is done with this lot. I think he kind of enjoyed the process, though - as grumpy as he is).

He is at the bar now, so let us get serious with the screenshots!

Please check your image #11 under the spoiler (it is not the "entryway" picture that I think you meant to put there.)

Notice for EVERYONE:
You should be starting to get your entries in - they are due in just a few days - check the countdown timer.
The sooner you can post, the easier it will be for our judges. They'll be able to take more time with your entries.

AND - I will be away from my PC for most of tomorrow, so don't freak out if I don't get the entry table updated until Saturday.

Yes. But. The hyper-links to all the entries is not complete - because not everyone has posted their entry yet.
I will get it to you (and all the judges.)

I will send it out to each of you, here on MTS, in the morning before I leave. (So...in about 12 hours.)

Thank you, @Vicctor-tor Your lot is amazing! Love the fishy stuff.

I found Moo's floor shader still hiding in my DL folder, so I removed it and replaced all (I think) relevant pics, @joandsarah77 - if you are judging already. Although I think the 5 bonus points will be from Cat? Thanks for judging again

Can't wait to see the other entries!

Oh that's just a long story of how I tried to deviate from cliché. Because all about fishermen just goes straight to log cabin. And that's not about modern fushermen at all. And there are fisher-ladies which I adore.

I must confess that that I had infamous Cinema secrets lighting mod. Which had less deep shadows like you have in Radiance Lighting. It is less visible when you shot at daylight, but gives a vibrant look at night as it replaces all the lights in root folder and is not going into Downloads.
And I don't know if a fish tank in it counts as a light source.

UPD: yes, it counts

Love the entries so far! @Victor_tor, you've gone a completely different direction in the desert to what I've built, the fish decor and glass walls are great! @Justpetro, I feel a bit intimidated about tackling the downtown renovation now I've seen yours!

My entry is ready but I won't have time to post it until after work - I've got all the pics I need, anyway, and I'll deliver it to the judges as soon as I get home.

So... the fixing or flipping mindset doesn't really play into it - unless that helps YOU to think of how to reno the houses.
Basically: just redo the house and make sure you meet the terms/goals for each property [...]
And maybe - to help the Judges see your vision - you could explain that you flipped it for an easy re-sell, or decorated it to live there.

Thanks for the helpful clarification - I'd been a bit stuck on how much detail I could put into the decorating. This time around I'm doing a Fix, with some personality in the decorating and choice of hobby gear, but I think I'll try staging a nice, tasteful Flip in a future round, leaving space for the new owners to put their own stamp on the place.

Side-by-side pictures prove Cinema Secrets literally turns off one fish tank

Now as it founded I am going to delete Cinema Secrets entirely. I just count it's a bug. And I won't take it back till the end of this contest.

I replaced this shot in my entry. All others looks same to be honest.

ATTN Judges: @joandsarah77, @HugeLunatic, @simmer22, @Charmful
I have added the Judges Form to the first post, please go grab that whenever you can.
I will update the hyperlinks as more entries come in, but you may not need that fanciness, if you just want to get started

Yes, all ya'll can get copies of the form too. If I was a contestant, I'd want to see how I was being judged!

OH! And I also wanted to say:
Contestants, it is great if you want to upload your houses to MTS too - but that is not necessary!
Just post the pictures in this thread, and you are good.
