There was a time when we had contests regularly on here, once there was even 2 of them running at the same time! I missed them and that is why I tried to bring them back with my contest. Let us hope there will be MANY more! I am also very happy to see the new judges, and I hope more of our builders will put up their hands for that in the future!

The original lot has no cc. The adironak bench is base game and those recolors are available from M&G for the mailbox. If your mailbox doesn't have a bunch of maxis recolors, then you have an old buyable mailbox mod that is overriding the M&G version.

The Contempto Adirondack Loveseat is indeed base game. I've had it in my game from the very beginning. Although it's really meant as garden furniture, the Moltkes have had it in their living room at 100 Via Veronaville ever since they moved in on 20th December 2012.

You can see it in the background of this picture of Julian talking to his little sister Brigitte. The picture was taken that day, only a few hours after they moved in. It's one of the earliest pictures I have of my Sims. December 2012 was my first full month a a Simmer, and 20th December was the day I discovered there was an in-game camera. The picture is so small that I really don't think I need to spoiler it!

Looking at this ancient little picture is very nostalgic for me!

Stick one of these in Archie's bedroom and you can extend the bathroom so you can fit the sink in there.

Bluewater Vintage Verandahs

- Playtested and everything is usable! Even all plants should be reachable.

I had to study a bit for this style and while researching fell in love with pink-green colourway! That then being my inspiration, for the whole build.

This time I especially focused on landscaping. The property even has very intricately installed fencing around the lot now, for safety... Beautiful flowerbeds, colorful trees and carefully trimmed bushes. New roof with perfectly matching roof-tiles and a very small attic with beautiful green windows.

I tried to remember was adding ponds allowed, but couldn't find a message about it quickly looking. Hopefully it's okay! If not I'll take the hit... But I'm happy with the end-product. Good luck for round 2 everyone!





Biggest challenge so far with these has been finding the exact spot where CatherineTCJD placed the lots... It's important to me!

I have the mailbox hack. I don't think I've ever tried to change the mailbox colors either and. Thanks for letting me know it can be done.
When I went to put the adiron loveseat back somewhere, I couldn't find it in my catalog. Not in sofa's or misc. Maybe I need new glasses, who knows.

I think all the houses are great. Too great to be honest that makes me worry a little that my house is not worthy. But I'll go against my concerns.

For the judge who asked in their comments, the diamond floor tiles are a favorite of mine, too. I downloaded them from Chartreuse Sims a couple years ago on tumblr.

Round two Entry. The house that was cracked.

I've actually had Merola's end table dressers in my game for a long time, but, since I got university, I've tended to use the University one-tile locker wardrobes when space (and money) are tight, and I'd half-forgotten about Merola's little dressers. Also, when we were building this house, my mind was focused on keeping the cost down. The university locker type wardrobe costs §200 and the old cable drum used as a coffee table costs §40, totalling §140, whereas the cheaper Merola dressers cost §149. So we saved all of nine Simoleons! This was maybe important when we were building the house, but now that the boys have settled in, and have earned a little cash by growing magic money trees, it no longer seems important.

I was in any case thinking of thinking of increasing the size of the bathroom to a full 3x2 tiles, by moving Archie's wardrobe like this:
This would allow a washbasin to be added to the bathroom. But I think yours is actually a better idea. The biggest drawback with the Merola dressers is that they look so small, that they wouldn't hold many clothes. But, when you look at my Sims, it doesn't look as if they own a lot of bulky clothes, so I suppose they really don't need big wardrobes. Now I think Archie has slightly more clothes than Graeme(!), but if he has a bit too much for his Merola dresser, I'm sure Tom and Graeme will let him have have a section of their locker.

So, obviously I'll have to talk it over with the boys, but I think we'll go ahead and do it your way. That will allow us to put something else in that space in the upstairs seating area -- maybe an extra chair, or perhaps an end table, or even another bookcase.I'll post pictures somewhere when we've done it. (I'm not sure if this contest thread is the right place.)

I actually enjoy this way of playing, where we change the house gradually to meet the needs and wants of my Sims, rather than trying to build a perfect house before they move in. Which is maybe why I'm not all that suited to points-based building contests. I like to think that the best judges of the houses that Andrew and I build are the Sims who live in them. If they're happy with their house, then so am I.

I did not read too much about double bed in requirements, but guess I still follow the same weirdo house planning as usually at my second upload. I promise to test it this time.
