NOTE (7/30/08): Some of the custom content has become "donation only" (the objects from DesignAvenue) since this lot was first uploaded. The lot should still function without it, so it is really up to each individual whether or not he or she wants my lot. As with any lot, there might be content you think is better that you can probably replace the missing content with. I closed the book on this project several months ago, so I'm afraid I won't be making any changes to the lot now. I hope you can all still enjoy my content (which will never be "pay") even if it is missing the outside content that I intended it to be viewed with.

Read more about the church that inspired this lot .

NOTE: If enough people want it, I'll try to make one that does not require Bon Voyage. Let me know if you're interested.

I've been wanting to make this cathedral for some time now. The roof options in h the game have finally allowed me to do it. I hope you enjoy. I imagine this cathedral as a Medieval Romanesque cathedral which was updated later with some Gothic elements, and then modernized to allow restrooms in the crypt.

I did not furnish the crypt so that you can put your own sims' tombstones there, or set it up as a school, soup kitchen or whatever. I have included pfish's invisible recolor of the ticket machine inside of the Holy Water Basin at the entrance so that sims can make a "donation" upon entrance if you like.

As you can see above, I've included only 1 stained glass with each window so that you wouldn't have to download them all if you don't want to for this lot. You can, however, get them all and then use the design tool to change them to give variety and narrative the way there would be in a real church. In my game version, I have different glass on almost every window. Feel free to change anything you like. I have also updated the roof of the lot to be more blue to reflect the real church it was designed after.

Sorry for the amount of CC, but it's hard to avoid with Medieval lots. Enjoy!

Required Custom Content:
-Lethe_s's Rosette Window and Recolors
- Sims Design Avenue (formerly Caravan Shop Sims 2) - (Under Themes)Church set, windows, tableau, altar, candelabra for church, window for bell tower, large church door, candle stand, bible stand. Unfortunately these items have become Donation only. I'm not sure if the lot will work without them, but you can try. Sorry!

Have fun. Post stories here of interesting things that go on in your cathedral if you so wish. I'd love to know. If you use this lot for a movie or anything else interesting, credit is not necessary but appreciated. Link here so that people can see where you got the lot from. If you like this lot, let me know. If not, let me know why. Please don't repost anywhere, as I worked very hard on this particular lot and would like people to have all of the original information.
