The next time I get the urge to take pictures of a lot foundation and layout in the autumn, I will remind myself of the frustration of doing so. Unfortunately, when you go into tab, the pretty orange autumn leaves turn green! It looks pretty odd with the orange fallen leaves underneath. So in the interest of trying to be consistent, I had to make sure the leaves of the two non-fruit trees were at least raked and composted in the foundation and layout pictures. I picked September because in many parts of the U.S., though Fall starts around September 21st or so, the leaves haven't turned yet. These were simply taken right before the leaves turned.

First Floor and Second Floor Layout. I think I was supposed to include the grain bin/studio, so I did. There is a strip of flooring connecting the fans in the silo and extending to two sides, since free-floating fans would look odd in real life. It just doesn't show the in layout picture

Price ... and there are TWO flamingos flanking the rose bushes. The decor on the wall actually covers most of the outside smoke alarm (for the grill).

Kitchen and hallway pics. Part of the challenge of this build was to keep the house as two sides, give or take a row. This would be on the "general store" side.

I'm not good at whimsy. Betsey Johnson does whimsy well in her fashions. Too often, there is a fine line between whimsy and hodgepodge. My whimsy looked like a whole bunch of stuff slapped together. So no whimsy here.

I do eclectic ... or is that eccentric? ... a little better, so I went with that.

Flower arranging/hydrophonic garden room. Cardamon and Zenith painted pictures of each other. Zenith can also paint pretty well. Sometimes, he tries his hand at sewing and flower arranging, and Cardamon tries her hand at pottery. I wasn't sure if BOTH of them needed to have some proficiency in painting, sewing or pottery. Yes ... I aged adults with SimpleLife facial lines, rather than use elders. Darn it, Maxis ... people in their 60s generally do NOT act or look like people in their 80s! And most of the Maxis clothes for elders are awful.

Hurrah! Finally a use for that old TV console in the game! Sims can sit in the three seats and watch TV with no problem. I checked. Often. Probably way too often. Picture can be provided upon request.

Now for the upstairs ...

I wasn't quite sure if I should have gone for a roof shot or the other side of the bedroom. There's much going on in this room, and I don't mean the woohoo, so I went with the second bedroom shot, since roof views are not required. Right now, Zenith and Cardamon are behaving themselves. They probably will not be once this shoot is done. Those two are all over each other.

The guest room. Both bedrooms have doors that open on the outdoor patio in the front. I borrowed that idea from a B&B I saw. I tried to use a different type of light fixture in each room. Right now, I'm involved in a real-life situation involving different lights and vintage light fixtures that I want to put in my own house. Looking at EBay, I never realized there was that much of a market for them.

The hallway, featuring Cardamon's art and Zenith's pottery, and a glimpse into the bathroom. The half-bath on the main floor has no windows, and we have privacy windows for this bathroom. I think the curtain issue is covered re those rooms. I did not have Cardamon make curtains, by the way, because she and Zenith were already exhausted making decor for the house, and I really wanted to post this lot now and not wait until the end of the week, since my time to make lots is already starting to become really, really limited, and I need to make all corrections and reshoots final by June 3rd. But if someone wants to change them out once they move Sims into their lots, using sewing skill to get rid of the curtains in the bedrooms, living room and kitchen would probably be a good way to make quick cash.

Again, I did not take pictures of bathroom interiors. I had enough of a hard time keeping myself to 18 pictures.

This is now a grain bin. I kept calling it a silo. Sorry. I found out there is a difference. What you learn while doing these entries! A real-life grain bin roof looks like a mix of a dome and an octagonal roof in real life, and I didn't like the octagonal roof on this structure, so I went with the dome. CFE-ing the roof failed miserably. Even when I was precise and didn't do any ooopses, it just didn't look right. So dome it is.
