Okay I have an ask. I am old with poor eye sight, can you please do close ups on individual rooms and take as many side on walk around as you are allowed. You know what is in your lot but I don't and I would rather not have to sit here trying to figure out what something might be. I have written up 4 now and realized that I am saying this on every comment. Also no tilted on its sides pictures.
I love this judge
Here you can see more of my creations and conversions for sims 3. ;) I`ll glad to see your comments in.
... I am old with poor eye sight, can you please do close ups on individual rooms and take as many side on walk around as you are allowed...
PLEASE folks - DO THIS. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: Judges can't judge what they can't see.
The contest rules say to take as many floor plan pictures as you need to fully show your build. Don't skimp on those pictures.
And you can take 20 "other" pictures. This is your chance to show off! Show every great little nook and cranny.

Welcome back, @simsample and let us drink to the contestants (including me) Shall we send some drinks to bribe the judges over?
Something's going on with all of these glasses and bottles. Like I am trying to drink but I dunno what I am touching and is that a glass or a bottle. Is there a liquid and is it even inside of a vessel.
I feel spaggetified. Like inside of Black hole.

I think we call it nerves - waiting for our results - have another one!
Quick question: Do we have to wait for the Round 1 scores before posting our Round 2 entries?

2nd place : Daddy N Me Cycle 2 Alien Edition, Sims Real Estate Contests
3rd Place : World Zombie Model Agency Contest
4th Placce : Aspiration N Me, Maxis Makeover Home Edition, My Girl, Stages of Life, SRE Cycle 2 Contests

Thank you I will make a concerted effort to get stuck into judging today. For some reason I thought the round wasn't ending until the end of this week! My bad.

I think we better start drinking again and have some chocolate - we can send some over to the judges and our cat herder too
Thanks
I just tallied up two of the judges score cards - still waiting on one judge...
PLEASE REMEMBER - the Real Estate market is very fickle. Your Fix/Flip bonus is decided by the three judges - if 2 of them say you get it, then you get it. If 2 of them say you don't, *sigh* then... you don't. I can tell you right now there are those that got it, and those that didn't.
(And several are standing at 1 for Y, and 1 for N - waiting for the third judge to settle the score.)
I am so glad I just have to wrangle the cats this time. Judging is sooooo hard!

Archie Forsyth is greeting Ravi Bertino, while Bernice Proudfoot is telling Graeme Macsporran a joke about ghosts.
If you haven’t read it already, it probably makes sense to first read my previous post in this thread which helps to explain how I am approaching this build:

I'm not sure if I completely understand the "fix or flip" rules, but, as an unofficial "play-along", I reckon I can interpret them to suit myself and my Sims. I want a house that can be used in my game. For my game there is little point in building §100,000+ mansions, as hardly any of my Sims could ever afford to buy such an edifice. So I decided to makeover the house to a price-point within the reach of most of my Sims. My aim was to meet all the requirements, while, if possible, keeping the price below §20K -- certainly not going far above that figure.
I believe I have succeeded in meeting all the requirements, while keeping the price under §20K. So I reckon this is a "fix" rather than a "flip".

I understand that "Crack House" usually means a place where crack cocaine and other narcotics are bought and sold. To the best of my knowledge nothing of that sort is going on in downtown Veronaville. But in Ireland, Scotland and northern England, the word "crack" can also mean entertaining conversation. I'm using the word in this more innocent sense.
Cat's download house was made with Mansions & Gardens, so I can't open it in my game (highest EP OFB). So I had to build it from scratch using Cat's pictures as a guide. I think I got the size and position of the house more or less right. My pond is different but in roughly the right place. As a mere play-along I have decided to use limited CC, and makeover the house with Andrew, using much the same approach as Andrew and I usually use when building new houses for Veronaville Sims. Andrew's firm (Jones & Moltke Ltd.) seldom builds expensive houses, as very few Veronavillians could ever afford to buy them.
So this is the Downtown 'Crack' house as we have made it over. It's in downtown Veronaville, just across the road from P.U.R.E.
Most of the pictures have been taken in Live Mode after some Sims have moved into the house. This gets rid of the problem of grid lines, but means there are often icons in the top left corner, showing my Sims' actions. Normally I try to edit pictures I post here to remove these icons, but I left them in here, as I thought there was rule against editing pictures after taking them. (But I can't find any such rule!)
(Well, they would be required if I was a 'proper' entrant in the contest!)
Front View
Graeme is greeting Jerome Usher, at the front door, while Ravi Bertino and Bernice Proudfoot wait to be greeted. This picture was taken a couple of minutes before the title picture. Jerome, Ravi and Bernice were the boys' Welcome Wagon visitors. All three of them live nearby. Jerome and Bernice both live in that house you can see in the background behind the dead tree. It is in Hamilton Crescent, an area of downtown Veronaville which is only just beginning to be developed. Ravi (one of the Tricou teens) lives with Jack Gill in Mendoza Lane, close the Sim Center North park, the House of Fallen Trees, and the PaintBoyz gay nightclub.
Rear View
In this view the downtown skyscrapers are quite obvious. In the foreground Archie Forsyth is hanging out with townie teen Sienna McGonagall beside the pond. In the distance you can also just see Graeme Macsporran hanging out with Ravi Bertino beside the dead tree. (They're just in front of the entrance to P.U.R.E. on the other side of the road.
Overall overhead view of whole lot
Floor Plan - Ground Floor
I have kept a lot of the design from Cat's original, including the rather interesting split level stairs. (By my standards that is an advanced building technique! ) I think I have simplified the layout a little, and tried to make the floor layout a little more "open plan".
Floor Plan - Upper Floor
Again I have retained much of the original, but have added a floored sitting area towards the rear of the floor, and added a small single bedroom. The double bed will require Lamare's mod to use inaccessible beds, but that was already the case with Cat's original. I have that mod, and my Sims are using the bed OK.
This is the final version of the price, after a couple of fixes. When I finished building the house without Sims, the price was §19,981, but when I moved my Sims in, I had to add some essential (to me) CC hacks: the BatBox, the Sim Manipulator, and the Simlogical School Changer. Now the Sim Manipulator is free, but the Batbox and the School Changer cost §1 each, so that brought the price up to §19,983. Then, as you'll see below, when I started to play the house, I found two sections of wall (at the top of the stairs) were unpainted. Painting these with Beachy Keen paint cost an extra §6, bringing the total up to §19,988. But we're still §12 under the §20K budget I set myself!
Sitting Room - 1
These are the boys who have bought this house: The first thing they had to do on moving in was to learn something about basic cooking! Left to Right they are Thomas Tait (aka Tom), Graeme Macsporran, and Archie Forsyth. Archie's full name is Archibald, but nobody calls him that. In keeping with the idea of the Crack House being a place of entertaining conversation, they are all Popularity Sims with high Nice points. They want to make their house a place where other Sims will want to come and enjoy the "crack". Downtown Veronaville is famous as a centre of young gay culture, so it isn't really a surprise that they're all teens. I'm pretty sure they'll all turn out to be gay, or possibly bi. Why else would they want to come and live in downtown Veronaville?
Sitting Room - 2
This picture was taken much later in the day -- in the evening, and Tom and Graeme have changed into their underwear in readiness for going to bed. Left to right the Sims in this picture are Jerome Usher, Tom Tait, Ravi Bertino, Graeme Macsporran and Jihoon LeTourneau, who is just going upstairs to use the toilet there. The routes that Sims choose to get from one place to another are sometime, to say the least, interesting: Graeme decided he wanted to play kickybag with his new friend Ravi. Instead of going straight to Ravi, he walked all the way round the foundation that supports the stairs. (You can see it on the floor plan.) When he finally got to Ravi by this circuitous route, he changed his mind, and decided he didn't want to play kickybag after all. To be fair to him, it was getting quite late by this time, and he was getting tired.
Upper Floor Sitting Area 1
The boys' very first visitor on Monday morning when they moved in was Fay Briggs from Monopolis who was passing around 10 a.m., and whom Tom invited in. While the boys were studying simple cooking recipes, she went upstairs and sat on the sofa there. I immediately spotted that there were two sections of wall that the painters had missed. That would undoubtedly have cost me points, had I been a genuine contestant. So it had to be fixed!
Upper Floor Sitting Area 2
Six Simoleons worth of 'Beachy Keen' paint however, sufficed to fix the problem. It was this that brought the final price of the house up to §19,988.
Ground Floor Bathroom 1
Like the rest of us my Sims have to use the toilet. Archie is just about to use the downstairs WC.
Ground Floor Bathroom 2
This is now a full bathroom as I have added Numenor's rather naughty shower that used to be available on Sexy Sims and probably on his own website. I often use this in houses for poorer Sims, as it costs only §25. I have slightly modified my copy (I think by changing a BCON) so Sims get clean as fast as in the normal Maxis §625 shower. In Numenor's original it takes a bit longer -- probably to give Sims more fun.
Basically it gives Sims Fun by doing something that almost all boys and quite a few girls regularly do, so I don't think it's nearly as "naughty" as a lot of other things available on adult Sims sites. I can no longer find this shower (called 'The Ladies' Hideout') either on Sexy Sims or on Numenor's own site, so I'm not sure how you would get it now. I can't really share it as it's against Numenor's TOU, and he's still semi-active.
In this picture, taken quite late on his first day in the house, Graeme is taking a shower in it, before going to bed. Normally my Sims shower and bathe naked, but I asked Graeme to keep his undies on to keep the picture decent for you.
Kitchen 1
Archie is preparing lunch meat sandwiches for Fay Briggs and the Welcome Wagon visitors. Note the waste bin in the corner behind him.
Kitchen 2
The main purpose of this picture is to show the (required) fire alarm above the cooker, but it also shows a problem with this little kitchen -- too many Sims crowding into it and getting in each others' way! Left to right the Sims in the picture are Graeme, Jihoon LeTourneau, Tom and Sienna McGonagall. Jihoon was originally one of the Veronaville townies, but he's been playable, and Living with a friend in Mendoza Lane since 2013! Somehow though, in my Aging off game, he's still a teen! I'll introduce Sienna later.
The problem with this kitchen layout is that, if there are more than four Sims in the house, the Sim who has prepared and served the meal, takes the serving plate back into the kitchen, and then eats his own food, standing just inside the door. This makes it difficult for other Sims to reach the serving plate, and, even if they succeed, they'll then eat theirs while standing in the crowded little kitchen too. It's a problem that I fear the boys and I are going to have to deal with.
. Dining Area 1
After preparing the food in the kitchen, Archie is now serving it at the table. Half hidden by the 'Holy Smoke' stairs, visitor Fay Briggs from Monopolis (the wife of Val Briggs, Millburn Pennybags's head of city planning) is waiting patiently for her food. I thought this arrangement with the stairs over the eating area might be a problem, but I have now learned that Sims can walk underneath base game 'Holy Smoke' stairs, without any mod or cheat.
Dining Area 2
Minutes later, Tom, Bernice Proudfoot, Fay Briggs, and (I think it was) Jerome Usher are enjoying their food. This picture gives a good impression of the "open plan" area showing both the telephone and the stairs, with a view right through to the sitting room.
Pond
Considering how quickly I made it, it doesn't look too bad, and Graeme and his new friend Sienna McGonagall are enjoying hanging out beside it. The plants round the pond (except the tree) are CC by Kativip. Some time ago I edited them to make them cheaper to buy, as they really are just weeds.
Upper Floor Bathroom 1
With 9 Sims in the house by the end of the first evening, both toilets were in near-constant use. Here Tom is just going into the upstairs bathroom to use the toilet. The upstairs bathroom is only slightly changed from Catherine's original design. The basic layout is unaltered. I've only changed the wall- and floor-coverings to make it look a bit cleaner and brighter. It still lacks a washbasin, but there is one just outside it in the adjacent bedroom. So Sims don't have far to walk to wash their hands.
Upper Floor Bathroom 2
Archie is getting a bubble bath before bed. The bath is HugeLunatic's backless version of the AquaPlus Shower Stall. When I first built the house, I put this bath in the wrong way round, so my Sims couldn't use it. So I had to turn it round the right way, to let Archie get his bubble bath. Fortunately, turning it round doesn't cost any money, so it didn't change the price of the house.
Main Bedroom 1
Tom is washing his hands in the bedroom after using the adjacent toilet. This bedroom is little changed from Cat's original. The double bed is in the same place (with new CC bedding) and still requires Lamare's Inaccessible Beds mod. I've got that though, and I know it works.
Main Bedroom 2
Archie is playing red hands with his new townie friend Sienna McGonagall. They had spent much of the day hanging out together beside the pond. There are about 200 townies in our Veronaville, but Sienna is unique amongst them: she is the only one generated by the Townie Tree. All the rest are either original Maxis townies, or ones I made in CAS. Her name was also generated by the game. She has been in my game for several real years, but Archie is the first playable to befriend her. It will be interesting to see how this develops in the future.
Main Bedroom 3
Graeme and are sleeping together in the double bed -- proof that Lamare's inaccessible beds mod does work in my game! Getting into the bed however was not all that easy for them -- they had to shoo two "squatters" out of the bed before they could get into it. Earlier in the evening two of their Welcome Wagon visitors, Bernice Proudfoot and Jerome Usher had decided to sleep here. (An unintended side effect of Numenor's "Sleep on Community Lots" mod). If you look at the upper floor floor-plan you can see Bernice and Jerome in bed together. It was all a bit ridiculous since their own house is so near! Since Tom and Graeme are clearly quite happy to share a bed,. . I can't help wondering if they might turn their friendship into a something more. I rather like seeing Sims snuggling up together in bed.
Small Bedroom
Archie seems to have claimed the small bedroom. There is no room for a wardrobe in this tiny room, so Archie's wardrobe is outside his room, at the end of the upstairs sitting area. I can relate to that, since I had a similar sleeping arrangement as a teen myself -- a tiny single bedroom, with my little wardrobe on the landing outside my room.
Telephone
I have already shown the telephone in the background to the second picture of the dining area, but this picture shows it in use. Archie is 'phoning Ravi Bertino as he wants to be friends with him. A good choice IMHO. Ravi, a Pleasure Sim, who likes to give pleasure to others, is one of the most dependable Sims in my game.
'Crack' House by Night
Sienna McGonagall is just leaving to go home.
The Future , , ,
With Sims living in it, this is more than a house -- it is a home. It's not just there for this contest. It is primarily there for the Sims who live there. And I'm sure they will make their mark on the house.
A number of issues have emerged over the two Sim days I've been playing this house. In consultation with my Sims, I'll try to address them:
I think the biggest issue is the congestion in the kitchen, which is caused by Sims standing and eating just inside the kitchen door. I think the answer is to demolish part of the end wall, making it into a food preparation area within the enlarged open plan area rather than a kitchen as a separate room. Like this:
Provided the boys agree, I propose to demolish the parts of the end kitchen wall marked with the wiggly orange line. If I first remove the door and the wall coverings on both sides, this should free up a bit of money, which can be used for more interesting things.
Another possible problem is the Creeping Ivy Trellis at the right hand side of the entrance area(circled in red in the above picture), which I placed there to cover a section of wall that was showing up in an odd sort of pinkish colour. See my post in the Random Questions thread, and the following 7 or 8 posts, which include replies by simmer22 and Charity.. Also see the old (2016) thread that Charity linked to. It seems that in some circumstances, that innocuous-looking shrub can cause Sims to overheat and spontaneously combust. It's highly unlikely in my game, as I have Squinge's No More Fires mod, but it's just possible that I might share this house (if anybody wants it), and I don't want to have the death of somebody else's Sims on my conscience. So I think I'll replace that ivy trellis with one of mustluvcatz's Creeping Ivies.
In the longer term they will probably improve the area beside the pond, and maybe build a small extension onto the back of the house. This might be used to house three or four money trees, which is how independently living teens in my game, often get a regular income. If you ask them what they do, they'll tell you that they work in "financial forestry".

J1 - Missing dbl bed, and did I miss the phone? The different styles clash; morrocan/classic/modern/art deco. The routing looks like lots of foot stomping. The buffet table blocks the way from kitchen to dining, causing sims to route all the way underground thru the tunnel. And the tushhugger chair looks like it may also block the sliding door. The floor plans are very skewed and it appears the main basement room is missing.
J2 - The front looks really good! I like the nautical theme, and you’ve kept it throughout the build. Slightly sparse in the landscaping area, but what you’ve done is good, plus it’s nice with the little hot tub area. Playability looks good, though there are a couple items I’m unsure a sim could get to (second deck chair). It does look like you’ve done what you could with the available space.
J3 - This is a tricky lot to work on being long and narrow, but you made it look interesting. I do think there will be some pathing issues given the small spaces and that building up a level might have solved some of those.
It would help if you put the walls up before taking overhead pictures so that the parameters of the rooms are clear and things like phones, alarms, doors and windows show up properly. Also if you could do closer overheads of individual rooms as I am struggling to see and I can only judge what I can clearly see. The angled pictures are much too far away and are uncomfortable to look at on that tilt.
I don’t see a kitchen rubbish bin, double bed or a phone as per the requirements.
Looking at the floor plan, I see a gap to a buffet table but no way from there or from the kitchen to the eating area. Ideally sit-down eating areas or dining rooms should be easily accessible from the kitchen.
Inside I like the bright cheerful colours and the cute pool bar area. I am wondering why there is a commercial changing room in the bedroom and if that is useable?
Outside I like the column on the front with the fish. While I understand why you put the fish reservoir there, I don’t think anyone would want that by their front door and it looks very unsafe with no fencing next to the footpath. The back yard looks relaxing, but can they use the hammock on an angle? And why is there a chair next to the gym equipment? That looks rather out of place.
From Cat - When you changed the original Adobe walls to add the stairwell, you took away 2 wall pieces (inside, now) AND... fish scales, though cute! Are not Adobe (clay.) = minus 2 points

J1 - Architecture is very interesting and cool, however the interior layout seems disconnected. The rooms are nicely decorated but the styles seem at odds with the modern exterior. Lots of nice green space on balconies, but the actual yard has just a small landscaped area.
J2 - Great house, with great landscaping and nicely decorated rooms. I’d be curious to see a CC-free flip from you.
J3 - What a lovely home and all the plants are divine. I love plants.
If I can ask you the same as a couple of others, please try not to use any angled/tilted shots, thanks.
Your build is visually very interesting and useable, except for maybe that angled recliner on the small balcony. Did you test that it’s usable?
On the back there are too many different types of windows giving it a disjointed look. There looks to be four separate sets on the back. While window sets do not always have the perfect size, people in real life don’t use so many different styles. I do appreciate seeing a privacy window on a bathroom though.
The back balcony is a lovely space.
The pond is pretty; I think a little path going to it would have been nice.
Does the main kitchen not have a bin or trash compactor? You have the same kitchen picture twice and I can’t tell if I am looking at a dishwasher or a trash compacter.

J1 - The house is beautiful! I just don’t know I feel about it being a completely different house now.
J2 - The furnishing and color combinations look good and fit the new style of the house. The only room I’m not convinced of is the smallest/orange bathroom (would’ve chosen either a calmer floor or wall, so the small room doesn’t look so intense due to two competing textures). The landscaping in the front and back looks good, but on the sides it’s almost on the tipping point of too much. The lot in its entirety give off a Japanese-inspired vibe.
J3 - Very stylish. Another renovation where this house is unrecognizable! The floor plan works well and everything looks accessible although it’s hard for me to see how they get to the dining room even though I know you have an arch it looks like stairs are also there on that overhead. If you can ensure walls are up on the overhead and take as many close ones as you like, the more the better for me to see things. I appreciate the breakfast bar for hurried mornings, and I love the huge balcony.
I feel like the glass and windows were a bit overdone especially given that there are no window covers. The bathrooms are cleverly placed a level up to avoid that street eye view but with those windows going down to the floor a sim might still feel rather exposed. The one tiny bathroom has no type of ventilation that I can see. Maybe a grate to approximate an extractor fan would have been nice.
You have managed a cohesive feel through the home with the pale wood, and I like the modern colour choices.
I love the creative entrance with the beams, although one is sitting at a different height. I appreciate the tropical feeling garden and the creative use of stone and stepping stones around the grounds.
I think I can just spy a kitchen waste disposal and a phone which should meet the requirements. Might want to make those a bit easier to see.
From Cat - Yes, the original walls are still there, and you painted them white. OK. But, by adding all those windows – I think your contractor has diminished the structural integrity of the cement. And, I'm not seeing the “mid-city appropriate” vibe either (I've been in some tropical mid-cities too!) = minus 2 points

J1 - Very pretty, cohesive style with a nice mix of maxis/cc. The fountain on a foundation is a bit weird? Maybe diagonal foundation? Or maybe diagonal fence without foundation? The landscaping seems a bit bland/minimalistic after looking at all the details you have put inside the house.
J2 - The house fits the 1920s style quite well, and the furnishing and color combinations are generally good all over. The landscaping is very good. I can spot a couple potential accessibility issues (toilet/table with pillow in one bathroom + toys in child’s room, if they’re meant to be usable).
J3 - While this lot’s build transformation is not as dramatic as some; given its historical listing you really can’t do any more than what you did and I can’t find a single thing to be improved upon. It’s pretty inside and out, warm and inviting with a practical useable floor plan.
I wouldn’t have minded some closer garden shots, but there is honestly nothing that I would change so I am giving you a perfect score.

J1 - Great use of maxis content! Two very distinct styles that are well executed. Love the shop out front with living quarters in back. And I just LOVE the style and details you put into the shop! Well done on using the vents.
J2 - I like the backstory you made, and you’ve captured this quite well in the build, especially the outside of the robotics shop. Landscaping is on the minimalistic side, but what you’ve done looks good, and the patio area is quite nice.
J3 - What an interesting and different take on this lot. Good use of space with no tight spots for such a narrow lot. Good to see privacy windows and ventilation in bathrooms. That ‘experimental’ robot? Looks like nightmare fuel. I like the patio area, sure to be a cool spot away from the desert heat. In most places I don’t think a grey sci fi looking front would sell, but this is Strangtown so I think it would be snapped up!

J1 - House style is very classic, proportions and build options are great. The landscaping is very pretty, but the style seems far more rustic/country than the downtown setting where the house is.
J2 - Front of the house has a lot of appeal, landscaping in the back is good, Decoration inside the house is very nice. Playability looks good, though moving the garbage bin (?) to somewhere else might help on the garage situation, and toys next to a bed might cause some foot-stomping.
J3 - A nice family home with a practical floor plan. Is that a split level CFE staircase or CC that I see? I very much like your diamond laundry floor tile there, WCIF? The lot is nicely decorated with a pretty yard.
Most sims won’t be able to sit and watch the TV as only a single seater chair is facing it and there is a bathroom and laundry with no type of ventilation.
J2 - Inside looks fine, maybe a bit one-note (brown), not wrong for a farmhouse, but don’t be afraid of using more colors in your next builds. Not much new has been done with the landscaping – try to knit the buildings together with the landscaping so they’re not just two buildings on the same lot. The barn looks good from the outside, but is a bit empty inside. Don’t just add a building because it’s one of the requirements, but have a clear plan for why it’s there – play room? Hobby room? Dining room for parties? Plenty of opportunities.
J3 - The floor plan is small but you managed to make it both interesting and useable and losing 5 points is indeed a lot!
It’s possible you might have done more with the shed, but it is cute.
You could have also done more with the landscaping as that is also worth up to 5 points.
Is there a kitchen rubbish bin or waste disposal?
I don’t see any ventilation in the internal bathroom, just a vent will do.
If you can zoom in and take pictures of individual rooms and take as many walk around side on pictures as you are allowed, this will help us see your lot to its best.

J1 - Excellent reno while keeping the basic structure! And thank you for not hiding the smoke detector behind something.
J2 - The front of the house has gotten a much needed upgrade. Landscaping is simple but works for the house, though the back does feel like it’s missing something. The veranda on the second floor is a neat addition. Furniture and decoration looks good – a bit sparse, but enough to give the rooms some personality.
J3 - This is a lovely lot with a useable floor plan and tastefully decorated. I like the use of the two-tone grey tile in the kitchen. Same with the garden, pleasant and tidy. Saving money is good in one way but leaves the property with less wow factor. The bottom of the stairs might be a bit of a choke point with just the one tile.
I can see a dishwasher but no kitchen rubbish bin or trash compactor.

J1 - I see the phone, burglar alarm, but not the fire alarm? Charming country style thru and thru! The one small bedroom looks like sims may not be able to route thru the door with the toybox there?
J2 - Interior matches the house style, but it is a bit one-note in blue, with the same floor, walls, and (Seasons) furniture style all over (plus, I don’t think it’s recommended to use a wooden floor in a bathroom). Don’t be afraid of playing a bit with both colors and furniture styles. The landscaping in the back is perhaps a bit simple, in that the different “zones” aren’t tied together. It’s a decent build, but I’m missing a bit more personality, both inside and out.
J3 - You have a nice lot with a useable floor plan
If you could keep the photos straight would be of help to me. That is the edge of your photo is in line with the lot edges. I am not good at looking at tilted angled shots. I also don’t want floor plans to be cut off like in picture 3. Thank you for the clear picture of the kitchen showing the phone, alarm and trash compactor though.
Your staircase is missing rails around the top which would be a safety hazard. Think about real life houses when building.
One free way to improve the outside is to use terrain paint under plants or anywhere were you think gets walked a lot. Where suitable use low garden edging to make garden beds. Make a path from the house to the outside entertaining area.
For inside think about using rugs or making rugs out of carpets, using curtains and paintings. The shed is more decorated than the house.
I do not see the piece of CC that you mentioned. (PSST Jo, It's Sunair's Light Computer on the desk.)
From Cat - All terms and goals met. But... sunair's computer cost you the NoCC bonus. Also - watch that your furniture placement doesn't put large items like refrigerators in front of windows.
J2 - Landscaping is a bit “more is more,” compared to the original, but does fit a desert landscape. Nice addition with some deck chairs. The “Drop fence” is a very nice fence, but there is such a thing as too much of it, and it’s skirting that line. I’m not fully convinced of the disco interior, but the living area interior looks good. I like that you’ve stuck to a color palette in black and “sand” that gives good contrast.
J3 - Can you please put the walls up on overheads and take close ups of the rooms.
An interesting take on this lot. The consistent colour scheme ties the lot together and the outside garden is interesting.
What I am getting most though is how bare some areas feel. The family’s balcony feels bare, the bar area is bare, the pool area is bare, the windows are bare. Think about adding some chairs, pot plants, rugs and window coverings.
I don’t see a rubbish bin or trash compactor in your kitchen.
The narrow hallway to the disco area is going to cause never ending foot stomping between customers coming and going.
From Cat - All terms and goals met. But, 2 days late. = minus 2 points. I believe that Banana Tree is from Castaway Stories? So, it counts as CC.
J2 - The front of the house looks quite good, and the veranda + garage are nice additions. Rooms are nicely decorated. Landscaping in the back is on the simple side. The patio is nice. For safety, remember to add railing around stairs on the top floor,
J3 - It has curb appeal but losses some of that when we move around the back. I don’t think the skinny column suits it. Maybe some more garden and angular raised planters would have lifted it. Inside you have worked out a clever floor plan.
Some of the decor feels modern and some feels country style. For example the stainless steel with the plate rack. Given the neutral coloured stucco, I would have suggest modern throughout including items like the colonial bathtub and fancy mirror. I like the two directional floors.

J1 - Great idea to turn it into apartments! Would have been fun to also have the middle courtyard turned into a usable pool for more adult outdoor activities.
J2 - The old landscaping has been kept, the additions are family-friendly with the playground and seating, but what has been done is otherwise it’s a bit simple (compared to the original). Rooms have a lot of personality, and the apartments seem like they’ve been color-coded to some degree, which is a fun idea.
J3 - These are pretty units, I like the various colour themes. I would really like to have seen at least one unit floor plan close up as it’s a struggle to see with only an overview of the entire lot. From what I can tell it has a practical useable floor plan. The garden is pleasant and tidy but not very creative. I can’t see a kitchen bin or trash compactor as per the requirements only a dishwasher. I don’t think the wooden outside stairs suit the lot and they are cutting across someone’s window. Maybe an open stair or internal stairs would have worked better.
From Cat - All terms and goals met. Don't forget to rezone it to an Apartment!
J2 - The landscaping is very good, and the outside of the house has been improved. A requirement was to not change the original exterior - I like the changes, but it still gives a slight deduction.
The interior is a bit of mix-and-match. In some rooms it works fine (ex. blue bathroom), in others there are too many things going on and no place to rest the eyes (such as diagonal walls in a tiny bedroom, several different textures in the living room, very mixed style/color furniture), and I can’t quite see the match between interior and exterior. Playability looks good.
J3 - I really like the overall look of this property and see that there was a lot of thought in the landscaping. It has an interesting and usable floor plan and some interesting design choices. I really like the kitchen.
Other areas like the main room I don’t care for as much. The amount of glass with the ‘blonde’ wood walls, ceiling and stone floor, white couch and rug make this space be overwhelmingly pale. While I can see creativity was used in making the carpet rug and it adds a pop of colour, I don’t like that pattern at all. A feature wall in another colour or darker furniture might have worked better.
Peek-a-boo bathroom! All that floor to near ceiling glass with only a tiny blind at the top. Please think about sims privacy.
I wish I could see what you did with those dormers. It appears to be green plants where I would expect a roof, and from this distance it looks odd. I can only judge what I can see.
I can’t see a rubbish bin or trash compactor in the kitchen. I also see a giraffe that I believe in CC?
I would have loved to see more side on shots of the garden.
From Cat - The verandahs are still there, but you did change the outer walls. The Historical Society is also upset about the fountain's “restoration” and the “modern” windows used in the extension. = minus 2 points
