Here's a playable handheld harp, to go with my recent collection of historical musical instruments. It is cloned from a guitar, so it uses the guitar animations and music. (I wish it was possible to add custom harp music, but instead, the simmies are going to have to rock out with the default stuff that comes with the game.)

It's found in the Activities section in Buy Mode, where the guitars are found, and costs 800 simoleons. It comes in three textures as below: A light wood with painted medieval flowers, a curly-grained wood with Celtic design inlays, and a dark rough-hewn redwood.

In-game, they hold and play it like a guitar. I've done the best I can to shape and position it to line up with the guitar-playing animations:

However, with all best efforts, please be warned that there will be clipping problems with sims who are not skilled guitarists. As you may know, novice guitarist sims will often bend down to stare at the strings or turn their ear to them, and in those cases, the sim's head and sometimes a bit of shoulder will clip through the harp as below:

But once the sim acquires the guitar skill, the clippage will lessen and they will look more natural. Looks cute when combined in ensemble with other historical instruments as below:

For a look at the harp being played by a skilled guitarist, you can check this YouTube video to help you decide - there's pretty much no clipping there (I chose Hire Guitarist and the game sent my JC Denton sim in a dinner jacket - I had no idea JC was such a talented guitarist): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVPtgbpb_-w

It has geostates like a guitar, so it sits on a stand when not in use, and the stand disappears when the harp is picked up.

Thanks for looking, hope you'll find this a useful addition to your historical musical instruments.
