2/13/2021:
*Since people still download this for some reason, I've released a new version of the trait.
*This new version is called "Simple PlantSim"
*Boosts Gardening, Herbalism, and Flower Arranging skills.
*Boosts Gardener and Conservationist careers.
*Whims relating to Gardening, Herbalism, Flower Arranging, and Swimming.
*Autonomy should see the sim Gardening and doing outdoor activities more often.
*Sims always have the Cool Kitchen Stuff "Green Life" buff.
*I have no plans to add anything else to this trait. But I do plan to keep it updated.
2/15/2021:
-Small tweak to autonomy.
-Added French translation by Candyman.fr.
This is a very simple PlantSim trait; hence why it's called "Simple PlantSim". It's a CAS trait under the Lifestyles section. This trait requires Cool Kitchen Stuff as it gives them a constant "Green Life" buff. Sims with the trait will get boosts in Herbalism, Gardening, and Flower Arranging skills. The Gardener and Conservationist careers will also be boosted. Whims relating to Gardening, Herbalism, Flower Arranging, and Swimmer will appear. The trait should see a Sim's autonomy focus a bit more on outdoor activities and gardening.
If Cool Kitchen Stuff is not install, the "Green Life" buff will not appear. But the Sim's skin should remain green and the boosts won't be effected.
Besides the all the above, this trait does nothing else. If you want a more proper PlantSim trait with the Water need and all, I recommend looking around at other creator's PlantSim traits. Many have done much better PlantSim traits. I only maintain this trait now because so many download it, which I guess I should say "thanks for downloading".
UPDATED 7/25/2016! - Remade the trait! The new version now makes the buff occasionally happen instead of always happening. And if they don't have the buff, their skin will still stay green, even if you didn't set their skin to be green. This new version will hopefully help with people experiencing lagging problems.
UPDATED 7/5/2016! - Just updating the trait so it works with the current version of the game.
PlantSims are back! Well, about as back as I can make them.
Cool Kitchen Stuff added tons of Ice Cream and flavors, one of which could temporarily transform your sim into a PlantSim for 4 hours. Well, with this trait you can turn your sim into a PlantSim forever by giving them the Green Life moodlet indefinitely. Meaning your sims will become green and occasionally grow leaves. Once the moodlet's 4 hours are up it will simply replace itself.
In addition to keeping them in this state, the trait will also give sims some other perks. PlantSims will get whims related to Gardening, Swimming and if Outdoor Retreat is installed, they'll also get whims for Herbalism. PlantSims can also build Gardening and Herbalism skills much faster than normal sims. And because of them always having the Green Life moodlet, their default mood should be Happy.
Townies are also able to randomly get this trait, so you may see one or two PlantSims walking around town.
Do note that this will not change the Sim's hair color, you'll have to do that yourself. And do remember, removal of the trait will set a sim back to being normal sim.
If you want even more realistic PlantSims, you could combine this trait with Esmeralda's PlantSim hair conversion.
